At the beginning of 2023 I said it would be “The Year of the Turtle” now I’m sitting in jail waiting to ring in 2024. But even so, this has been the best year in TurtleBoy history. I began by being invited on @TimCast which I thought I wouldn’t be able to top. Then I found out about Falco K9 and someone named Mike Fucci and helped bring them to justice.
But I had no idea how much my world would change when I heard the names John O’Keefe, Karen Read, Brian Albert, Michael Proctor and especially Jennifer McCabe. This story has given me renewed purpose, and even though I ended up in jail for reporting on it and organizing, I’m so happy that it has brought together so many great people working together to fight a historic injustice.
I know that in 2024 you will see a headline that reads “Indictments Coming, TurtleBoy Was Right”. At this time next year Karen Read will be free, I will be free, the Canton 9 will be free, Jannell will be free and John O’Keefe will have justice. I thought 2023 was going to be the year of the Turtle, but 2024 will be bigger, better, and have a happier ending.

In a sign that the “Free Karen Read” Movement has moved forward without Turtleboy, a rally for Read has been scheduled for Friday without his direct involvement.
