Things got a little weird in the Denver, Colorado, area on Wednesday as free range grandmother Regan Benson protested a Denver Police Department speeding crackdown using motorcycle-based officers alongside a busy highway outside of Denver’s La Paz micro community.
The sometime advocate for the homeless explained that she was in the area when she noticed police spotters up on a nearby bridge. This led her to a collective of seven police officers on motorcycles preparing to pull drivers over for speeding and other violations.
The elderly YouTuber described the situation:
So for those of you who have seen me at the micro community and the C DOT lot, it’s right there. I talk about this like eight-lane highway here. And up on that overpass, there’s two.
There’s two. motorcycle cops up there hanging over the uh hanging over the overpass So look, the speed limit here is fifty-five, not ninety-five. And while I am for um going with the flow of traffic, you have no idea how insanely horrible our roads have become.
Like dangerous living hell nightmares every time you come out here. And this this highway highway You can hear it from miles east and west of here. The racing that goes on here I I don’t know why they’re on this side.
So this is in between Denver and Englewood. So Englewood is right down there. Speed limits fifty five.
I could be a giant asshole, since I’m an asshole, you know Since I just hate the cops, I’d come out here and ruin their whole fucking day with one sign. Well they’ll just go back and they’ll just do it again another day and They’ll take the rest of the day off pay So yeah they’re up there clocking them up there on the bridge Every day you you travel this, you will have I mean if you do it daily Um on the regular, you will have a near-death experience every single day of your life out here. Go get your car and what and put it in the breakdown lane.
Yeah, that’s the huffling. Yeah, it’s total road piracy going on right now. But I I seriously want to know how many reckless driving tickets.
Reckless, careless driving, anything like over 25 miles an hour is considered reckless driving. I’m a real criminal. Yeah, cuz I’m standing out here with my camera.
Benson would eventually rate their outfits of the patrol officers:
Clear down into Douglas County and it meets up with I-25 and so it’s a heavily heavily traveled state highway. Yeah this is a State highway, isn’t it? Let’s go, let’s go.

Eventually a police officer would come over to see what Benson needed. She asked if he was “assigned” to follow her:
But why are you following me? Okay, don’t follow me, because you’re gonna make me mad. That’s a grouchy fucker back there.
Super grouchy fucker What’s the holdup? You need me to go up there and yell at those guys up on the bridge Right there. They’re all like, oh my god, we’re all over the internet now.
Our mission is destroyed. Our lives are threatened. We got a woman out here with a camera talking a lot of smack.
She’s she’s trying to sh we’re gonna we’re gonna say she trying to interfere with our operation. Well what’s this operation called? Is this what what is this operation called today?

Benson would get increasingly paranoid about a police officer sitting at the back of the line with his motorcycle.She would go on to celebrate when the police gathering ended and all the officers drove off without her.

I I’m a little torn on Operation Santa Fe on Operation Santa Fe Day. Um because of the reckless nature. of what has been long going on on Santa Fe and law enforcement’s lack of response.
Um I’m not kidding. This is this is the Autobahn times 10 out here with a mixture of grandma Going 40 because she’s scared to death. Those combinations are deadly right here, and people are dying.
So there’s that. Then there’s the Racketeerian extortion piracy plan. I mean, I don’t know.
Benson announced that she would be taking part in a blanket drive event in Denver on Saturday.
So, this Saturday, for those of you that are local, uh, we’re gonna do an event. Well, I’m not doing the event, I’m gonna participate in the event It’s in Denver and it’s going to be at the Double Tree Shelter Motel of Denver. This is Denver’s motel shelter.
uh temporary housing that people are in for Visual effect. So they’re not out on the street. Um, Mike Johnston has not ended homelessness in Denver.
It’s very bad still. It’s very bad down here in Englewood. Except the only place in Colorado where they’ve solved homelessness is Douglas County So just so you know, Douglas County, Colorado has solved homelessness.
I don’t know like why Mike Johnston won’t get with the program and do what Douglas County does and says, hey, here’s a bus pass, go to Douglas County. I don’t, I mean they ended homelessness. Start sending the homeless community to Douglas County to access the resources that are obviously available and not available to anyone else outside of Douglas County.
So at any rate, this Saturday is a blanket drive. And it’s here’s the um here’s the push for it WTF Denver has no cold weather shelter plan. Demand answers help mutual aid communities collect supplies for the upcoming winter season. So they’re gonna we us, many others that are deep in the planning outside of me are gonna serve a meal From 12 to 2 this Saturday, the 24th, there’s the address. If you have things that you can give to the advocates.

Benson would go on to complain that her YouTube channel is making between $1.00 and $5.00 per video and gave warm regards to a follower who sent her $100.00 during the livestream.
