Excitement was in the air Monday night when free ranged grandma and budding racially tinged AI music producer Regan Benson attended what she described as “police officer of the year night” at the Englewood, Colorado, Civic Center which was highlighted by Benson leaving her special brand of commentary in an address to the Englewood city council.
Benson started her livestream about forty minutes before the Englewood City Council meeting was scheduled to begin. She complained that the dollar store was out of the poster board she usually buys when making signs and proceeded to make a sign targeting scorn for an Englewood police officer.
She also explained as she created the sign with markers that she would not be taking suggestions on what to draw from the audience as the last time she did that, she got arrested and later convicted of doxing a police officer.
Benson also announced that her recent attendance at the Afroman show in the Denver area was a 37th wedding anniversary gift that she and her husband purchased for themselves. She added that she had a second surprise as the wife of one of her sons was expecting a baby and she would soon have eight grandchildren.
The sometime homeless activist eventually made her way into the civic center, taking her spot in the press area of the city council chamber. She waited through the presentation of the officer of the year award, made her brief comments during the public speaking portion of the event criticizing the police and reminding Englewood that she was still suing the city, then exited after leaving her sign on a table located near Englewood’s police chief.
After storming out of the chambers, she briefly confronted the Englewood police officer working security for the night. That promoted the police chief to come into the lobby area of the chambers and retrieve his officer before Benson got bored and left.
Back at her car, she took time to test her new megaphone and how it played her AI generated music attacking Judge Isaam Shamsid-Deen. She danced and gyrated through a single song before putting the megaphone away.
Benson also updated the status of the megaphone, which she had previously claimed was stolen by a porch pirate. She said that she retrieved it from the person who stole it without going through local police and did not expound on the story or the retrieval.
Eventually, Benson left the area and came across a police incident in downtown Englewood.
The police were apparently dispatched to stop a verbal altercation between a resident of an apartment building and a homeless man who was apparently attempting to camp out on the sidewalk outside of the apartment building.
Claiming the homeless man “grabbed at” his children and his dog, the resident encouraged the arrest of the homeless man. Police refused to do so, explaining that the man had a right to be on the sidewalk while they needed to verbally restrain the resident from attacking the homeless man.
As the situation resolved, Benson verbally attacked the resident, calling him a drunk and a “whiner.” She later criticized police for their handling of the situation.
Benson also released a new statement to her YouTube community page about her attempts to remove Judge Shamsid-Deen from his position, refraining from using the quasi-racist colorful nicknames she had previously used in the past for the judge.

Municipalities through-out Colorado have to be searched but one notable municipality I pay attention to is Englewood, CO with Judge Jefferson. This livestreaming option is a big deal in transparency. There should be no reason now in this State that we can’t start the process of the people DEMANDING that bad judges be removed from the bench.
We have a people problem in this state and that is…people consistently vote to retain all judges in Colorado.
