Tuesday saw yet another bizarre livestream by Regan Benson on the streets of Englewood as she showed her rage as she protested at the Englewood, Colorado, police department and followed it up by being overly nice to homeless people at a nearby park.
The first half of the stream was devoted to Benson’s ongoing rage campaign, this time devoted to writing obscenities in chalk outside of the police department in large block lettering.
She spent a good amount of time raging against her recent arrest at and trespass from the Englewood Civic Center after an altercation at the recent city council meeting. She noted that it was the second time she’s been trespassed from the civic center and that she is already suing over the first incident.
Benson complained that Englewood had changed the rules of the appeals process for the trespass but was proud that her existing lawsuit was going to go to trial and that she felt she had a good chance of winning.
While she was chalking, she greeted passersby with the greeting of “fuck the police” and singled out at least one of the passersby with insults and degradation when they were out of earshot.
Benson also, strangely, remembered a man who yelled at her during her recent civic center altercation. While she did not identify the man, she said that he turned his nose up at her as she was screaming at him while she was briefly detained in a police car after her trespass. The man has become a reoccurring rage with Benson and is something to watch as she progresses through the year.
The free-range grandmother eventually went into the facility, with her camera paused, and said that she got into another altercation with the leader of a dog training session that was being held inside the building.
Benson said she attempted to “do business” at the service window inside the building but couldn’t hear over the sounds of the training session. Once outside the building, she found the vehicle belonging to the dog trainer and released it to her 25 assembled viewers.
From there, Benson made her way to a local park where she distributed snacks and cooling rags to homeless people who were assembled there. Benson showed concern for one man who had been trespassed from the park without “anywhere to go.”
During her stay at the park, a vehicle at the stop light in front of the park backed into a bicyclist. When Benson approached the bicyclist, he claimed to be uninjured, while the driver contacted the police after parking at the park near Benson’s car.
The man left the parking lot before police eventually drove into a nearby gas station. Benson would leave the scene soon after.
Benson is expected to continue her outrage tour later this week.
