The saga of Lane Myers, prisoner, took an expected turn on Friday as Lane Myers, “attorney” was unable to secure the release of Lane Myers, the experience, from the Pima County, Arizona, Adult Detention Center as the collective will be held without bond until at least August 6, 2026, when Myers, Myers and Myers are scheduled for oral arguments on his motion to change his probation conditions.
Myers was convicted last year of one count of felony Stalking and one count of felony Aggravated Harassment via a plea deal in exchange for dropping nearly a dozen other charges against him and he received three years of probation for his crimes.
As part of his plea deal, he agreed to the following terms and conditions:
Do not contact the victim or her family.
Do not go to the victim’s home.
Do not go to the victim’s place of employment, meaning the building where she works or where she parks her car.
Do not encourage others to contact the victim, go to her home, or place of employment.
Do not engage in activities that would be reasonably expected to cause others to harass or contact the victim or her family
Remove all videos that mention the victim or her family or include identifying information about them.
Allow probation full access to your YouTube Channel and any other social media to determine whether you are abiding by the conditions.
Do not associate or communicate, directly or indirectly with:
Joshua Gray, New Smyrna Beach, FI. (YouTube Handle: “This is a Public Service.”)
Mark Kelly, Tucson, AZ. (YouTube Handle “Reluctant Profit.”)
Do not post information about the victim, her husband or her minor children on YouTube or other social media.
Myers, by his own admission, abided by these guidelines for most of the year since his sentencing, only changing his behavior after he allegedly consulted experts in first amendment law and the Westlaw online legal research platform.
Based on his research, he filed to modify the terms and conditions of his bond on June 14, 2026, which challenged the conditions that limited his association with Gray and Kelly, forced him to remove all videos from YouTube and social media that mentioned the victim and her family, block him from posting information about the victim or her family on YouTube or social media, and engage in activities that would reasonably be expected to cause others to harass or contact the victim.
A hearing was initially scheduled for July 24, 2026, however, after Myers filed to change judges in the case, that hearing was canceled due to scheduling issues.
According to Friday’s petition by the state to revoke his probation, following his filing, Myers engaged in a series of extended live streams and other behavior where he allegedly violated the four conditions he had disputed.
Myers was taken into custody by probation on July 9, 2026, for allegedly violating his probation, a motion to revoke his probation was filed on July 10, 2026, and Myers had his initial public hearing on July 10.
Our reporter, JudyYouGotThis was in the courtroom for the hearing and reported that despite Myers’ claim that there was intensive public interest in the case, besides herself, the only people appearing to watch the proceedings were the victim, her husband, a victim’s advocate and an unidentified gentlemen who did not take notes and left almost immediately after the proceedings.
Myers was represented by advisory counsel Mark “The Shark” Resnick and had to be reminded at times that in the proceedings he could either act as Pro Se counsel for himself or have Resnick handle his defense. A hybrid system where both would argue on behalf of Myers would not be allowed.
Judge D. Douglas Metcalf ruled that Myers will have oral arguments for his motion to change his probation conditions on August 6, 2026, and the state will have their evidentiary hearing on the motion to revoke Myers’ probation on August 11, 2026. Myers will be held without bond in the Pima County Adult Detention Center until at least his hearing on August 6, 2026.
Myers himself allegedly stated that the proceedings will come to an end on August 6, after the judge rules in his favor and drops his probation. He also allegedly announced that he will be suing Pima County for the balance of the fees he paid to probation after it ends on the 6th.
Deputy County Attorney Stiles indicated that the state’s filing was based on a preponderance of evidence gathered by the state and by the probation department that Myers had indeed violated the terms of his probation between June 14 and July 9, 2026. This apparently included new police reports about Myers’ activity during that time.
As part of Myers’ plea deal, Stiles confirmed that the probation department had full access to his YouTube channel and social media accounts.
Resnick offered little in Myers’ defense as he had not seen the evidence against his client. He did contend that Myers has not been in direct contact with Joshua Gray and had instead offered that the men had been in communication through an intermediary.
Due to budget cuts, Pima County will no longer provide audio streaming of its court hearings. Judge Metcalf has taken Myers’ request to stream future hearings under advisement. Audio recording of the hearings may be permitted, however audio live streaming by individuals will not be permitted at this time.

[Full disclosure: Mr. Myers has both threatened to sue and/or to file an injunction against ReallyCoolNews. Reporter JudyYouGotThis has also been directly verbally attacked by Mr. Myers and threatened with a subpoena to appear at a future hearing.
