SeanPaul Reyes aka Long Island Audit (LIA) released police bodycam footage on Thursday from his June 1, 2023, arrest at the 75th police precinct in New York City.
In the footage, an off-camera police officer can be heard telling another police officer that they should delete the footage on LIA’s confiscated camera. The officer was quickly shut down by a second police officer, who indicated that they were recording on their bodycam and would not destroy evidence.
LIA claims that this is evidence of police corruption and will be using it in his up-coming federal and state level lawsuits against New York State’s policy preventing filming at police buildings within the state.
