Long time first amendment auditor and YouTube influencer Jeremiah Payne announced the death of his mother, Mary J. Payne, who died in hospice on Monday after what Payne described as a long time bought with cancer.
Mary Payne played a big role in her son’s life as she provided him shelter at times during his troubles with chronic homelessness and problems with the law. Born with a quick temper, Jeremiah Payne’s troubles have been largely self-inflicted and for a time, he found solace with his family at his mother’s home in a dedicated assisted living facility.
Payne infamously attempted on at least one occasion to fundraise off of his mother’s illnesses, which were then described as heart related, by posting pictures of his mother lying in a hospital bed. Observers noted that while Payne had claimed that she was in an actual hospital, the monitoring equipment she was supposedly hooked up to consisted of personal items placed together to appear as if they were medical equipment.
The presence of Payne and his family at his mother’s home would eventually cost her the home as she was evicted from the assisted living facility. This led to a saga of Payne bringing his mother with him as he, wife Samantha, and their child moved from town to town in Kentucky and Tennessee looking for work.
Most recently, Payne had announced that his mother decided to split with the family and stay in Clarksville, Tennessee when he moved his family to Nashville, Tennessee earlier this year. Her health apparently deteriorated since his last mention of her, with Payne announcing last week that she was entering a hospice.
Payne updated the situation with a Monday post on his YouTube’s channel community page:
Well it didn’t turn out the way I thought it would guess I promised my mom holding her hand and she was dying that she would not be cremated the funeral home is saying that she only had 1700 paid in for her funeral so they are giving me till Thursday to come up with $4,000 to bury her I contacted her to living sisters who’s basically told me to f*** off if they wasn’t helping to bury her one is named Betty Jones Hewitt who worked for century 21 lives in a half million dollar home on Legacy golf course in Springfield pay $3,000 to bury her dog but won’t help with 4000 to bury her baby sister and there’s no way I can come up with that kind of money I may go live in a little while cuz I’m going to blast these m************ for dog in their own sister and turning their back on her when she needs them the most I meant they won’t help to bury their sister they don’t got even give me the money I told them that just take it to the funeral home and pay it but no they’re too good for that so I know I’m never going to come up with that much money but I’m going to leave my Cash Out below if anybody wants to help I’m going to whatever you donate I’ll put it into the savings we may end up just having to cremate her anyways and that alone he said I still need a thousand dollars for by Thursday and 600 dollars to pay for the urine so that they will bury that and the light that she’s already bought and paid for and the opening and shutting of the grave because she already has a spot in the ground paid for and the opening and shutting so if all else fails I just need to come up with a 1600 and he said I have to do this by Thursday this is killing me guys that my mom is laying in a damn morgue in Springfield just waiting for me to be able to come up with the money to do something for her
