James Freeman remains in JAIL as Supporters Raise $58,000 for his Bond (Corrected)

While the fans of James “James Freeman” Springer have come together to donate over $60,000.00 between his GoFundMe account and private donations, there are deepening mysteries related to his current incarceration at the Pima County, Arizona, Adult Detention Center that have yet to be resolved.

Springer was arrested on May 4, 2026, following an alleged domestic violence incident at his home in which he is said to have shoved his teenage daughter and destroyed property before fleeing the house after reportedly threatening violence on his family and himself.

His wife called police after the incident and police found him at a gas station, but he had left the gas station as police had verified his license plate. A low-speed police chase followed, where Springer evaded spike strips as he traveled at the posted speed limit. Police used a device called “the grappler” to stop Springer’s vehicle.

While a weapon was found inside his vehicle, Springer didn’t resist as he was taken into custody by the police other than making sexual comments while being searched. YouTuber Harvey Freebird later released footage shot by Roy “Pigs Under Pressure” Tripoloni from the incident and hailed Springer a hero for “owning” the police with his sexual and sardonic comments.

Springer was initially charged with two felony counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon, one felony count of unlawful flight from law enforcement, one felony count of carrying a weapon in the commission of a felony, four misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct – crime against a child, one misdemeanor count of domestic violence – criminal damage and one misdemeanor count of domestic violence – threatening.

He made an initial court appearance and then he was set for a follow up hearing on May 14, 2026.

Springer sat in jail for nearly a week before friend Roy “Pigs Under Pressure” Tripoloni convinced Springer to allow him to organize a fundraiser to raise Springer’s $40,000.00 bond.

While initial efforts resorted in around $13,000.00 in donations between GoFundMe and other pay options, Springer’s GoFundMe came to life for Thursday’s totals, taking in $33,179.00 in donations for the day. It’s only competitor was Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Hudon-Huneault’s Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit, which took in $2.00 in exchange rate gains.

Friday saw Springer’s fund take in another $15,603.00 in donations, bringing the total to the GoFundMe campaign to $58,119.00 as of press time. The GoFundMe organized for Luis “Real Constitutional Upholders” Johnson placed second, with $50.00 in new donations, SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes’s Support The Fight Against Tyranny & Corruption campaign placed third with $5.00 in new donations, while Hudon-Huneault’s campaign came in last by losing $21.00 of value due to exchange rate changes.

For the year, Springer’s campaign dominates everything else with its $58,119.00 total. Reyes comes in second with $20,562.00 in donations spread over three campaigns and Jose “Chille” DeCastro has $13,807.00 in donations spread over two campaigns to place third for the year. No other campaigns have cracked the $10,000.00 mark.

With Springer’s massive influx of cash, fans have asked why the YouTuber has not had his bond posted by Tripoloni, who organized the GoFundMe and has been the lead organizer of the various all-night livestreams put on by First Amendment Auditors in the Arizona and Texas areas.

Tripoloni’s GoFundMe campaign is brand new. As it is brand new, from our own experiences with our own GoFundMe campaign, initial withdrawals may be delayed several days as GoFundMe sets up the account and verifies the information provided by Tripoloni.

The campaign has also been reported to GoFundMe multiple times for violating GoFundMe’s rules about providing funding for individuals who have allegedly committed violent actions.

Tripoloni strategically changed the initial name and description of the campaign to remove any mention of the charges Springer faces or what the money is actually going to be used for. As of Friday morning, the campaign is active on the service.

Springer did not appear in court on Thursday, which confused the situation even further. Our intrepid reporter in the area, Judy YouGotThis, was told by the court on Thursday that Springer’s case had been moved to the Green Valley court and that a judge would have to determine if the charges would stand or dropped.

YouTuber Merb34st put out a video Thursday night confirming that the case had been transferred to Green Valley, but said the move was temporary.

Green Valley is a town within Pima County and uses Pima County’s Adult Correction Facility to house inmates. Springer’s case has yet to be listed in Pima County’s eAccess portal, while online records indicate that the former YouTuber remains in custody in Pima County as of Friday morning.
