YouTuber influencer, activist, bicycle enthusiast, “internet attorney,” unlicensed HVAC specialist, journalist and current inmate at the Pima County, Arizona, Adult Detention Complex Lane Myers released a new statement to YouTube Thursday night through spokesperson Andrea “Illuminate the Dark” Dotson’s YouTube channel in which he attacked the Judge and prosecutor who are handling up-coming probation revocation hearing.
Myers has been held without bond in the Detention Complex since early July following several livestreams where he allegedly violated terms of his probation, which prevent Myers from discussing his victim or her family.
The social media influencer filed a motion in June to restructure the terms of his probation to allow him to talk about his victim and end his limits on contacting associates Josh “This is a Public Service” Gray and Mark “Reluctant Prophet” Kelly.
Myers represented himself at his unsuccessful probation reduction hearing last week. During the hearing, Myers seemed ill-prepared for the format of the hearing and expressed his frustration with questions posed by Judge D. Douglas Metcalf.
While cameras were not allowed in the courtroom for that hearing, Myers’ victim was allowed to attend the hearing via a Microsoft Teams stream as she was out of town on business during the hearing.
Myers had previously stated that his attorney was making a list of his “shareholders” who will be able to attend future hearings via Microsoft Teams. There have been no orders allowing this by Judge Metcalf as of press time.
Public defense attorney Mark “The Shark” Resnick will be representing Myers at his upcoming probation revocation hearing on August 11, 2026.
Myers expressed his concerns about the previous probation reduction hearing in the interview:
Also at court I want to go over a couple things from the hearing because Metcalf’s a (expletive deleted) clown.
He’s the worst judge in the United States history.
So first At the hearing where the audio disappeared from the media hearing, during the media hearing he said I want to uh clarify a couple of things about the hearing on Tuesday I want to make it clear that that hearing is only for legal arguments, not factual arguments.
So like legal arguments means like case law and legal arguments So I came to the hearing prepared to argue case law.
So even though it was a clown show and Metcalf (expletive deleted) derailed my entire thing, took it you know, he he’s interfered with my arguments the whole time He forced me to make you know, well he didn’t force me ’cause I knew that’s what I was there for, but I made legal arguments.
I said, This case, that case, these this law, this states shoot, this case law And then when it was because remember he said we’re only allowed to make legal arguments at this hearing.
He said that before the hearing.
Then the hearing starts.
I make my legal arguments.
He turns it over to Rachel.
And Rachel doesn’t make a single legal argument, she makes all facts based arguments.
And you know what Rachel said?
Rachel said that Lane is like an alcoholic Which I uh which is the most offensive (expletive deleted) thing you ever could say.
‘Cause I believe that they’ve alcohol is like a disease or something.
I don’t know.
I I’m not uh I’m not an alcoholic, but she goes So this was her legal argument.
This is her case law argument about my conditions.
Oh, Lane’s like an alcoholic.
If he makes one video he just can’t stop and he keeps making more videos and longer videos and I’m like, what case law is that?
Then she spent her entire time talking only about facts d poisoning the whole thing saying, Oh, well instead of saying, Well, this condition is valid because uh case law state verse you know, US verse or in this case they argue this She just sat there and said, Oh yeah, well he’s he uh she basically said only facts about oh he makes these videos He’s like an alcoholic.
Addressing his concerns with his ban on contacting his friends, Myers stated:
As it and then saying that, um The reason I can’t hang out with Mark shouldn’t be allowed to hang out with Mark Kelly is because they were doing the exact same thing I was doing uh prior.
They were she was saying that You know, now remember though, I was doing that stuff prior and I got charged.
They didn’t.
So if we were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time and only I got charged, that’s a red flag, Rachel.
Of course I brought that up.
I said, so if if the reason that they can’t be my friends is because I was committing crimes and Rachel’s saying they were committing the same crimes, then why weren’t they also charged?
No response for that of course.
And then she says that uh What else?
She says that.
Well I’m trying to think through everything ’cause I don’t want I gotta be careful what I say here.
Oh, she said that Um the reason I need these conditions is to pret she said ha she said that Her whole argument wasn’t even she did mention like protecting the victim from the same conduct that I was doing before, even though I wasn’t asking to modify my conditions Nothing in my motion to modify involved the victim.
It only involved being able to talk about her husband in matters of legal matters and public (expletive deleted), like where he put the petition on the thing and I want to be able to talk about what he said in the petition and shit Never did I argue that I should be able to contact the victim.
I don’t even want it to I quit contacting the victim years ago.
I have no that person she’s a she’s a non uh whatever to me.
She’s a She’s a nobody to me.
Finally, addressing prosecutor Rachel Stiles, Myers said:
So since you’re a genius prosecutor, you should probably know what the (expletive deleted) you’re talking about before you come to court and make yourself look like an absolute (expletive deleted) by admitting that you are accusing two other people of the same crimes as me but they didn’t get charged, so that’s that’s a crime by you.
And then saying that, well, all the conditions of probation are to rehabilitate Lane Myers.
Well, that’s funny.
So, what, you want Lane Myers?
Sounds like you want Lane Myers to stop crit It sounds like their end goal is to m rehabilitate me from criticizing government employees.
And protecting she goes, Oh yeah, and we gotta protect him from doing the same thing to other people.
You need to protect other government employees from being criticized?
You Rachel, you’re you’re revealing your hand your true intentions every time you talk because it’s called like uh I think it’s a Freudian slip they call it or something.
But you’re admitting that your goal is to stop me because all I’ve I only make videos about government or or related to uh matters of public interest or public people that talk about me, I talk about them in return.
But your goal of my probation you claimed in court yesterday was to rehabilitate me from these behaviors and stop me from continuing the same behaviors I’ve Rachel, I’ve been c criticizing the government for forty three years.
In fact in in Meyers vs Rend, I criticized the government And got paid a lawsuit.
My I called the folk I I told the lawyers that eat a dick (expletive deleted) and they sanctioned me.
And they still paid me a lawsuit I still criticize the government and I’ll never stop criticizing the government.
Now, once I’m allowed to leave Pima County, I’ll be leaving Pima County is the day I’m allowed to leave Pima County, of course And so then I won’t have to worry about getting arrested by uh the clown show at Laura Conover.
Myes would go on to claim that all future hearings in his case will be livestreamed to the internet. He also expressed concern that he could be hit with more criminal charges related to his alleged probation violations.
There have been no further rulings on having Myers’ hearings livestreamed nor have there been further charges filed against Myers as of press time.
