Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s long year got longer on Sunday as his YouTube account was apparently suspended by the social media platform for a third time in a six-month period as his latest livestream was taken down mid-stream.
Our report is based on DeCastro’s Twitter stream, which remains available on his Twitter account.
DeCastro had featured a video from the NEA Report YouTube channel from a police chase in Mississippi County, Arkansas, shot on August 19, 2026. The police used a PIT maneuver twice during the chase causing the SUV that they were chasing to come to a stop.
Ultimately, police would smash the back window of the car and pull an occupant of the car from the back seat via his dreadlocks, causing the man to exit the vehicle by crossing over the broken glass.
Approximately 16 minutes and 35 seconds into the broadcast DeCastro held up his bug assault salt shooter, which looks like a plastic shotgun, to the camera and intoned that when a police officer wants you gone, you’re gone.
DeCastro would go on to finish a phone call to a Mississippi police station using his J.D. character before his Twitter stream went silent around the 38-minute mark. With DeCastro apparently then noticing that his YouTube stream had been cut off.
He uttered, “Oh my goodness. Oh, my goodness.” Before going silent and staring at his screen and licking his lips in frustration. He briefly said sorry to his viewers, licked his lips again, then continued to intently look off screen for another minute or two before announcing to his Instagram viewers that he would be back and that his YouTube livestream had been cut off.
The frustrated YouTuber tried to continue with a call to the Arkansas State Police before hanging up when he got through to a voice mail line. Apparently in shock, DeCastro said that his livestream was still going on Twitter and on Facebook and started the process of reporting the cutoff to a YouTube agent.
He would eventually end the Twitter feed after telling his fans that he was on with a YouTube agent and promising that he would be back later in the day.
By late in the afternoon on Sunday, DeCastro had not returned to livestreaming. The link to his livestream on YouTube stated that it had been removed from YouTube for violating YouTube’s policies.
If the apparent suspension stands, it would be the third time in six months that DeCastro had been suspended from YouTube. His earlier suspensions came in the spring after he was hit for displaying nudity in a YouTube short and another strike for making antisemitic comments in a YouTube livestream.
Under YouTube’s guidelines, a channel is terminated if it receives three content strikes within a 90-day period. Because the new strike is outside of that 90-day period, DeCastro is not facing a channel termination at this time.
However, DeCastro’s main channel will feature a hit to its channel standing as he’s continuing to show that it is unfriendly to advertisers. He may face a lowered reach, reduced impressions and fewer appearances on YouTube’s home screens.
More importantly, DeCastro will likely face increased scrutiny due to the multiple flags. According to Google, future uploads will be more aggressively reviewed by automated classifiers and human moderators.
DeCastro may also have to complete specific policy training or Copyright School to clear individual strikes from his account. As always, YouTube maintains the right to terminate any channel that it feels is a repeat offender or threatens the safety of the platform.
While DeCastro had been threatening to deplatform himself from YouTube in recent days, financially, it may not be viable to do so. DeCastro is expected to make $16,000.00 in super chat donations for the month of August since switching to an infomercial style format.
Both Facebook and Instagram offer various schemes to allow donations that resemble YouTube’s super chat donations. It is unlikely that DeCastro can raise the same amount of money through their platforms as he is most famous for his YouTube channel, which has over 725,000 subscribers.
DeCastro’s plight made no difference on the crowdsourcing market as his last active GoFundMe, a fundraiser for Oklahoma’s Heather Chandler, saw no new donations Sunday.
The fundraiser for James “James Freeman” Springer won the crowd sourcing title for the day with a single $20.00 donation. No other campaigns that we follow saw donations for the day.
