In a not unexpected move, Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova and Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Hudon-Huneault agreed to drop their on-going legal action over allegations of misuse of copyright against each other on Tuesday.
Plaintiff Christopher J. Cordova (“Plaintiff”) and Defendants Jonathan Hudon-Huneault, an individual; Nneka Ohiri, an individual; and 14693663 Canada Inc., (“Defendants”), hereby stipulate and agree as follows:
Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(ii), all claims asserted in this action against Defendants are hereby voluntarily DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE.
Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs, except as otherwise expressly provided in the Settlement Agreement executed by the Parties.
The Court shall retain jurisdiction to enforce the terms of the Settlement Agreement between Plaintiff and Defendants.
The on-going lawsuit against Hudon-Huneault began almost a year ago as Cordova sued Hudon-Huneault over fair use claims, circumvention of YouTube’s copy protection security, and misuse of copyrighted work.
Hudon-Huneault counter sued, claiming that he had a perpetual verbal license to use Cordova’s materials granted by Cordova in a livestream that Hudon-Huneault found after he deleted the vast majority of videos from his channel. His counter claims were dismissed earlier this Spring.
The lawsuit was unusual as both sides initially openly discussed aspects of the case with their followers on their respective YouTube platforms. Each ruling or filing got a video from both sides explaining what the judge really meant or what talking point they wanted to promote about the filing.
Cordova stopped doing this early in the year when his statements about his income became basis for multiple motions from Hudon-Huneault. Hudon-Huneault continued to do videos until recently and had promised his fans that he would never settle with Cordova in a way where Cordova would get any of his money.
The case itself saw attention from YouTube personality Louis Rossman, who eventually shared a petition to disbar Cordova’s attorney for supposed misdeeds during the course of the lawsuit.
Hudon-Huneault also disputed claims that the lawsuit was heading to a settlement despite strong hints from the judge in the case that a settlement would be the best resolution for the case.
The lawsuit brought an end to long-standing rumors about Hudon-Huneault’s “Josh” persona, revealing after years of rumors and speculation that he was Canadian and not American like that character he portrayed in his videos.
Hudon-Huneault’s defense was largely crowd sourced from PayPal and GoFundMe donations. The Canadian YouTuber will presumably shut down his popular GoFundMe campaign, that has been featured in nearly every one of our crowdsourcing reports since late last year.
The Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit remained stagnant for Tuesday as Roy Tripoloni’s Support James Freeman’s Pretrial Release Fund took in $1,048.00 to take the day.
Qam j’s shot multiple times – help Luis’ recovery & fight campaign place second with $613.00 in new donations. It was followed by Angel “Kansas City Accountability” Moses with his Justice for Unlawful Arrest in Ohio fund, which took in $405.00.
On Wednesday, Tripoloni again won the day with $935.00 in new donations, followed by Moses with $225.00 in new donations. Hudon-Huneault saw $4.00 in new value due to exchange rate changes between CAD and USD.
While Cordova nor his attorney have made any public statements on the settlement, Hudon-Huneault posted that he would do a video on the lawsuit later this week.
This is a breaking news story.

WHAT!
Did they say they would take this case ALL the way to the top? ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!!!
We had heavy breathing from that racist lawyer who is afraid to travel to the USA such that he had to hire, HIRE a real lawyer to handle the case in court and suddenly when the cash involved was not theoretical. The case went away with a magic wand.
Why its almost as if the whole thing was a grift from start to finish. Hit them up with heavy breathing and sharp talk and intimidation,
“Nice channel you got here, be a shame if something were to happen to it…”
and yet here we are.
How many of those lawsuits, sorry lolsuits are still out there? Any of them?
Oh that is right. None of them. Soon as it turned out there was no money to made or when things started costing them money, all those magic lolsuits have dried up and disappeared.
This entire episode was no different then every other scam the 1A community has done to grift money from anyone they can. Only this time they had a failure of a lawyer to hanlde the paperwork.
Life’s but a walking shadow, A POOR PLAYER
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is A TALE
Told by an IDIOT, FULL OF SOUND AND FURY
SIGNIFYING NOTHING

Old Billy was right, he could have written that today about this case and he would still have been right!
