It has been roughly 19 days since Jose “Chille” DeCastro won the title of last remaining monetized first amendment auditor on YouTube after years of plans to “unite” the practitioners under his rule, his dreams came true and he’s squandered it.
DeCastro’s rumblings started way back in 2023 with an e-mail allegedly written by DeCastro and obtained by Kate Peter that reportedly offered a scheme where all the major first amendment auditors would report to him and there would be a revenue sharing scheme in place to use each other’s footage.
While DeCastro denied sending the letter, the ideas of the letter have resurfaced from time to time, most recently with his ideas for YOU’VEGOTBAIL.AI, where he would have first amendment auditors as “reporters” and he’d issue press passes to them as part of a real national media outlet.
The reporters would have to pay monthly dues to him and in return he would send them on missions to report on critical issues. He would, in essence, be the “Charlie” character to “Chille’s Angels.” Minus the Farrah Fawcett Majors, or modern equivalent Brick Jonsey, in a string bikini.
In the past, his idea didn’t get much traction as DeCastro is DeCastro, his overbearing style and his demand to be “Alpha” in a room full of alphas who were all monetized and had no need to pay for a “leader” just didn’t fly.
But then August 30, 2026, happened.
The great day of demonetization. As of press time, we’re three days away from what could be the last payout for most of the auditors on YouTube. No one has spoken publicly about it yet, and most are holding out hope that they’ll get one last deposit from the social media giant on Monday.
DeCastro, as one of the few remaining auditors who is making real money – $7,988.00 in latest estimates from super chats alone this month – has the opportunity to be savior to some of the auditors and revive his dreams of uniting his allies (Craig Hendry, Jeremiah Payne, John “First Amendment Protection Agency” Medaglia, Zachary “Liberty Troll” Kueker, etc.) or his opponents (SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes, Josh “Accountability for All” Abrams) under his thumb in an agency of superstar first amendment auditors.
But instead, he’s been locked in the pattern of the same old same old. Risk free DeCastro.
DeCastro got a court victory on Wednesday, when a judge bought his excuse that his attorney, Michael Mee, screwed up and wasn’t his attorney for his lawsuit against two Nevada judges.

Before this Court is Plaintiff’s objection to this Court’s Report and Recommendation at ECF No. 35. ECF No. 36. This Court notes that Plaintiff indicates he has submitted summons to be served via publication in the Las Vegas Review Journal for Defendant Zimmerman and by email for Defendant Leavitt and withdraws its Report and Recommendation at ECF No. 35. Excusable neglect appearing, this Court also extends the 4(m) proof of service deadline nunc pro tunc by an additional 60 days. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(b). Accordingly, proof of service as to Defendants Zimmerman and Leavitt is due by 10/7/2026.
In same old, same old fashion, his long-delayed lawsuit will probably be dismissed as soon as he finally serves the Judges and they invoke judicial immunity, costing the tax payers of Nevad millions in the process.
YOUVEGOTBAIL.AI is dead in the water, and rightfully so, as it is financially unsustainable with the vast majority of his targets – male first amendment auditors 19-55 – reevaluating their devotion to the constitution at least until Rumble or Patreon start to pay something, ANYTHING, to compare to their lost YouTube earnings.
Theoretically flush with cash, DeCastro himself could offer opportunity to those looking for any way out and willing to call him “Alpha” and “playboi” in exchange for a paycheck or revenue of some sort. It beats going and getting a “real” job.
But instead, he sits inside his studio, making up to $1,000.00 a day from super chats and YouTube revenue, going through the same tired old anti-police videos, boring his audience with the same old recited lines, in an extremely safe existence on YouTube’s dime.
Sweet revenge, for sure, knowing that those who didn’t accept him in the past now may be looking to him for help – but also lost opportunity as there may be others out there who are willing to take up the risk and steal his idea.
We ‘ve heard rumblings of licensing libraries of most of the demonetized channels over the past two weeks. Various schemes are floating around of uniting the demonetized channels under single banners and looking for opportunities elsewhere.
While the obvious alternative to DeCastro – cash flush SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes – may not be interested in the idea right now, the idea is DeCastro’s to act on if only he can break with his cushy lifestyle.
Since going into his pattern of infomercial host for his own products, the biggest criticism of DeCastro has been that his livestreams have become stale and boring. When he audits, he fails to take the risks that he used to be known for out of fear of going to jail. His legal challenges as the number one voice of pro se litigants on YouTube has been replaced with the voice of a man tired of losing who has abandoned his principles and lawyered up.
Even his greatest critics have given up. Anything over two hours is nearly unlistenable as he’s stuck in “best of” Chille mode. With nothing new to offer and endless pitches for products that don’t appeal to them.
In the end, his greatest dream lies in front of him. It really is within his grasp. Uniting the auditing world under his thumb, right damn now, and everyone kissing his rear end for a paycheck.
But, as expected, he’ll likely squander it for another dose of the same old same old and another paycheck from YouTube.
