The weekend ended and the week began with another chaotic look into the world of Christopher “Direct D” Ruff, whose friends and family provided a series of randomly and sometimes confusing updates to his status as he waits to be bonded out of the Apache County Jail.
Ruff was picked late last month on a bevy of charges that have since been reduced to Stalking-Emotional Distress/Fear, a class 5 felony, and one count of Unlawful Knowingly Direct Lewd Electronic Communications, a level 1 misdemeanor, after being accused of a list of wrong doings by former girlfriend Heather Russell.
Sunday night’s livestream was devoted to the claim by Ruff’s fiancée, Amanda, who said that Ruff was given a tablet that did not work so when he tries to make phone calls, the recipient cannot hear him speaking.
Ruff’s friends circled in on Correction Officer James Lair, who they said was disrespectful towards all of the inmates in his care. Lair apparently wrote up Ruff for having contraband when Ruff borrowed a pair of headphones from another inmate, who was put on lock down for sharing with Ruff.
The friends put out the number to the Apache County jail and asked all of Ruff’s supporters to “respectfully” call flood the facility. They stated that his viewers were to do communicate in a way to express their absolute displeasure and anger at Lair for causing problems for Ruff without causing further problems for Ruff.
They also shared personal photos of Lair taken from his social media, exposed how much he made for the year, and promised that he would be feeling the pressure of their combined might if he didn’t back off of Ruff.
Apparently, the calls and demands worked, as Amanda reported on Monday that Lair was much nicer to everyone in the pod but had yet to apologize for Ruff for his bad behavior towards him.
Ruff’s tablet remained broken as of Monday afternoon.
Amanda also shared that they are currently at $4,847.00 in funding from Ruff’s personal cash accounts and his GiveSendGo campaign and that the couple needed another $9,000.00 in funding to get Ruff out of jail.
The Hawaii based influencer bitterly complained that the GiveSendGo campaign would need an attorney to get involved to have the collected money paid to ruff after several of his “enemies” complained about the fundraiser.
She did not know, apparently, that Ruff’s GiveSendGo went down over the weekend, listing a “not found” error. She continued to instruct his fans not to donate to the fund raiser and said that they would more than likely carry through with plans to end the fundraiser and issue refunds to everyone who had donated.
Amanda also stated that she may be making a new GiveSendGo campaign with the funds going directly to her and her needs, as Ruff’s foes could theoretically make the same complaints about her campaign.
The love-struck Amanda called out Ruff’s former partner Russell and made a direct accusation that Russell had been paid to make the accusations against Ruff. She said that payments to Russell’s GoFundMe account from Ruff’s enemies proved her accusations.
She also indicated that “something could happen” to change Ruff’s fate in jail on Monday, which has yet to have happened as of press time.
