Mixed news came out of the camp of Christopher “Direct D” Ruff on Friday as Ruff’s fiancée, Amanda, shared news that Ruff had been visited in the Apache County, Arizona, Jail by charging officer Xavier Stewart while sharing troubling news about Ruff’s GiveSendGo account.
Officer Xavier Stewart had been the subject of scorn by Amanda and Ruff’s followers throughout the week as Ruff was arrested last week on a multitude of charges without anyone from the Apache County Sheriff’s department interviewing Ruff to find his side of the story.
Ruff had been charged with multiple felony counts and misdemeanors related to a woman named Heather Russell, a woman that Ruff had briefly dated this year before the pair broke up and Ruff asked her to leave his property.
According to Amanda, the charges stemmed from Russell’s accusations against Ruff and resulted in Ruff’s arrest last week when he went to Apache County’s courthouse to file for a hearing to oppose Russell’s temporary protective order.
Ruff has been held on $100,000.00 bond for the Apache County charges, despite the fact that charges were reduced to a single felony and a misdemeanor charge as a Judge ruled Ruff a flight risk as he is also being held on four warrants from Maricopa County for failing to attend court hearings.
Ruff’s Thursday’s arraignment was apparently delayed until August 24 due to Ruff’s attorney, Russell Facente, Esq., filing a motion to continue. A hearing was held on Thursday, but no minute notes were made available to the public as of press time.
While Amanda appeared distraught on Thursday’s livestreams, she was elated with the news from Ruff that he was interviewed by Stewart on Thursday. According to Amanda, Stewart had been on vacation for the past week and that he had not intended for Ruff to be arrested as he was still investigating Russell’s story.
Amanda had stated that when Ruff was released from jail, Stewart would be the subject of future “cop watching” sessions by Ruff. She told her audience on Friday that those sessions would be postponed and that they should back off on Stewart “for now” depending on what Stewart does with the information provided by Ruff.
It is unclear what Stewart can do based on Ruff’s information as Ruff has already been formally charged and his criminal case is under way. While there is always the possibility that the District Attorney drops the case against Ruff, it is unclear if Stewart is in a position to facilitate such a move.
In any case, as Amanda reminded her audience, Ruff would still need to post $8,500.00 in cash bond for the Maricopa County warrants. Amanda stated that the couple still needed around $9,000.00 in donations between the Maricopa and Apache county bonds.
She warned users not to send money to Ruff’s GiveSendGo campaign as that campaign has been targeted by detractors of Ruff and they are currently unable to withdraw money from the fund.
Amanda said that she may need to get a lawyer involved with releasing the funds, or, she repeated her claim from Thursday that she would simply refund the funds to those who donated with instructions to use the money to donate to one of Ruff’s other donation links.
Update: The GiveSendGo campaign was deleted Friday night.
Ruff’s next court date is August 24, 2026.
