Saturday’s aborted livestream fundraiser by Jose “Chille” DeCastro on behalf of Charles “AnCapCopWatch” Baldwin had a somewhat happy ending after DeCastro cancelled the livestream after being informed that Baldwin was no fan of DeCastro as Baldwin was released on his own recognizance on Monday at his arraignment hearing.
Baldwin was arrested during a livestream on Saturday after police informed him that they were moving the crime scene tape at an incident where a SWAT Team was dispatched in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.
The YouTuber told the officer who informed him that the perimeter was being moved by insulting the officer and refusing to move. A second officer put his hands on Baldwin, Baldwin screamed, “don’t touch me” and Baldwin was taken to the ground and handcuffed.
Baldwin was charged with three misdemeanor offenses. They include resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, concealing identity from police officer and assault upon a peace officer. All three a relatively minor offenses but can result in jail time and fines if he’s convicted.
Upon hearing of Baldwin’s arrest, DeCastro ended his horizontally formatted live stream on Saturday and started a new vertically formatted stream. He said that he wanted to bring as much attention to Baldwin’s plight as possible and began to make contact with friends in New Mexico to ascertain Baldwin’s name and birthdate.
While DeCastro said the stream would be a fundraiser for Baldwin, several minutes into the stream he was informed via text message that Baldwin had spoke negatively about him in the past. He also found out that no bond would be set for Baldwin until he saw a judge on Monday.
With both of these facts in front of him, DeCastro recounted his disappointment with an unnamed YouTuber following DeCastro’s release from jail in 2024. DeCastro said that he had made a $50.00 donation to a crowdfunding campaign for that unnamed creator and he later found out that the creator had done a video while DeCastro was in jail disparaging him.
DeCastro made it clear that while he would help Baldwin, he later indicated that Baldwin would be on his own, at least until Monday, due to the negative words he had allegedly previously used against DeCastro.
As noted, Baldwin saw a judge on Monday and was released without the need of DeCastro’s help. He has made no public statements on his YouTube channel as of press time.
DeCastro’s other fundraising efforts were again silent for the weekend, as no new donations were recorded on any of his endorsed crowdfunding campaigns on Sunday or Monday.
David “Dr. Dave” Coulter’s Help David Fight False Claims and Harassment fund brought in $908.00 to dominate Sunday’s earnings, bringing May’s take to an incredible $1,469.00 just three days into the month.
The First Amendment Protection Agency placed second with $50.00 in new donations to his ILLEGAL ARRESTE DEFENSE FUND!!!
Monday saw a complete collapse of Coulter’s fund as no new donations were recorded for the day. Instead, SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes won the day with $200.00 in new donations to his Detained for MY Rights – Continuing the Fight for OUR Rights fund.
Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Hudon-Huneault placed second for the day by losing $5.00 in value for his Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit campaign due to exchange rate changes between CAD and USD.
No other campaigns that we follow saw action for the two-day period.
