A demoralized Jose “Chille” DeCastro addressed his fans early Wednesday morning after receiving word that YouTube denied his appeal to have his monetization restored earlier in the morning after submitting that video appeal.
He broke the news to his fans in somber fashion:

Cornbread got the hoodies in Shipped off a bunch of stuff today. Not as much stuff as we shipped the last few weeks, but we shipped off a bunch of stuff today. I wonder I I wonder if I’ll ever be able to be allowed to rebuild on YouTube.
I’m gonna start another channel, but I’m okay, Placer. I’m you know, I filed the appeal today for the demonetization and it was immediately denied. I filed the appeal five minutes later said denied.
So I expected it I expected it. It it hurts for sure. Definitely hurts financially.
I don’t know how we’ll see in a month. We’ll see in a month what happens. We we will see in a month But you know what?
We’re just gonna keep on going. We’re just gonna keep on going. And keep on watching this absolute tyrannical system before us is what we’re gonna do.

While he seemed depressed, not everything was bad for DeCastro as he seemed happy about his Instagram efforts:

So but I I mean I’ll tell you this so so just so you know the Instagram is just Absolutely popping off. So on Instagram, we’re doing three million insights. We’re doing 12. 6 million views. on the last 30 days. So Instagram is absolutely soaring.
And pretty much any video I post, I mean today started off super slow. But any video I post gets hundreds of thousands or millions of views. Not any video, but but I would say A video a day, every day, goes into hundreds hundreds of thousands or millions of views on Instagram every day.
Every single day. The video we did yesterday did 700,000 views The video we did the day before that did 416,000 views. And then the video we did the day before that did 440,000 views.
See the one with the pig on it. And then the video we did before that did 299 ,000 views. So Instagram is definitely, and then the video we did before that did 171,000.
So Instagram is absolutely just jumping, and then the one before that did 750,000 views So it’s absolutely jumping uh Instagram is so what I’m gonna have to do is try to get members and then this one did 200 and 280,000 views that one right there Karma got this piggy. So there’s um there there’s an opportunity there, but I have to work it. I have to work Instagram.
A little bit more than I am. You know, I have to like I I spend so much time here, but I do have to work on Instagram. You know what I mean?
I have to work on it And the even the murder of James Sheets, just so you guys know, the murder of James Sheets on Instagram, fifty thousand people watched it on Instagram compared to four thousand on YouTube. And we have 388 ,000 subscribers on Instagram and j when I go and look at the James Sheet series on YouTube And our views are dropping dramatically. We’re down to 18. 6 million views. I mean, I I’m getting almost Six million views less on Instagram with half of the subscribers and the James Sheet series is getting one one tenth. One tenth.
His somber mood returned quickly, however, addressing his future:
That’d be exciting. I’d be able to make a living I I honestly you guys I’m I’m being honest with you. I I don’t know if I’ll be back.
I don’t know if I this could be my last time here. I’m I’m pro I’m I’m probably gonna have to figure out what to do here. You know what I mean?
I’m probably gonna figure out what to do the YouTube denying the d monetization today and then like I I mean you guys are my friends. I don’t want to sit and grind my friends. You know what I mean?
Like when there’s a crowd of people and I teach stuff, it’s pretty easy to get a bunch of donos because People are learning stuff, case law and stuff. But when there’s like 150 people here, I don’t even think there’s 150. I don’t want to grind my friends You know what I mean?
I mean I mean Chad Sr. just came in with a $5 DLZ dono. But but I don’t want to sit and grind my friends. You know what I mean?
It’s just not what I want to do with my life. You know, and and I’m a pretty resourceful guy. I can figure out other ways to do it, but I’ll have to spend my time doing something else.
You know, I’ll have to figure out what I’m gonna do. I’ll stay in in continue to be a civil rights activist, but I’m gonna have to figure out what to do. I re I really will have to figure out what to do.
The uh uh YouTube refusing me uh refusing to allow me to get a crowd I I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Chad. Chad 21.

DeCastro’s livestream ran a little over and hour and 30 minutes on Wednesday, with the diminutive YouTuber calling things short claiming that he needed to get some sleep and promising that he would be back, reciting his catchphrase, “We don’t stop.”
We don’t give up. I’m not gonna give up. I’m just uh I’m just exhausted tonight.
I would I I’m just literally falling asleep here. And if I do a coffee, I’m just gonna get myself sick because I’m Abs absolutely need sleep. I I need to get four or five hours of sleep and then I can keep going.
But I gotta get some sleep. And I I’ll probably change my hours a little bit. Um I think you know check the website.
