According to YouTuber BZWatchDog, Carolyn “Carolina in Ft. Worth” Rodriguez was found guilty of interference with government duties on Wednesday in a trial stemming from a controversial incident in June of this year.

Rodriguez was originally charged with False Alarm or Report, Interference with Public Duties, Resisting Arrest Search or Transport and Evading Arrest Detention from the incident where she entered a crime scene and briefly refused to leave before being taken to the ground by police, resulting in extensive injuries to her face and arm.

There was controversy as two videos of the scene were released, one showing an officer taking Rodriguez down with what appeared to be extreme force, the other showing Rodriguez pulling away and moving forward as she was being taken down.

Rodriguez hit her head when she was taken down and was unconscious on scene. She was treated overnight, and mass protests were planned against the Fort Worth Police Department, but failed to materialize as only Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova arrived from outside the area to help with the protests.

Local protests were also hindered as the Fort Worth City Council went on a planned summer break after holding a single hearing investigating the incident. By the time they came back from break in August, the incident was largely forgotten and the outrage over the incident had dissipated.

The prosecution of Rodriguez moved forward, with the resisting arrest search or transport and evading arrest detention charges dropped as she went to trial this week. As previously reported, the first day of her trial was delayed as a juror called in sick on Tuesday.

As BZWatchDog reported on Tuesday, First Amendment auditors Joe Cool, Harvey Freebird and Manuel Mata were on scene and attempted to disrupt the first day of the trial. They returned on Wednesday with Mata filming himself insulting and degrading police officers, in an apparent attempt at witness intimidation.

Wednesday’s trial saw the same juror fail to appear due to illness and a second juror was unable to appear due to a family issue and a mistrial was declared. A new jury was then seated, and the case was heard, resulting in a not guilty verdict on the false alarm or report charges and a guilty verdict on the interference with public duties charges.

Because Rodriguez’s bond was revoked at the start of the hearing, she was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Tarrant County Corrections Center until later today when her sentencing hearing is scheduled.

The interference with public duties charge was a class B misdemeanor and carries a $2,000.00 maximum fine or 180 days in jail. According to BZWatchDog’s reporting, Rodriguez is facing probation in the case and no jail time is expected.

Rodriguez’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for 9AM local time on Thursday.

Should we be happy? Clap? Thus another one goes to jail. Entirely predictable. And, sadly, totally avoidable. And not to mention, a very painful experience. Her 6-7 figure settlement for excessive force and damages, just dropped to a 5 figure, go away money, IF that.
    And for what?
    What purpose?
    What did we learn?
    What did we gain?
    What?
    Nothing.
    Good job, frauditor.

Carolyn Rodriguez is Innocent of All Charges.
She is the Victim not the Criminal.
The real Criminal is Officer Matthew Krueger of Fort Worth Police Department.
He unlawfully detained her, used unlawful excessive force, assaulted and battered her by slamming her on the ground which is felony assault.
All of this was done without reasonable suspicion of a crime, without any probable cause and without a warrant.
What Carolyn was doing is protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution, Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Speech and is protected by Case Law, Houston vs. Hill and Turner vs. Driver.
The statement You made in your Post above are Untruthful, Biased and nothing but a bunch of made up lies about what Carolyn was doing and why she was arrested.
The Police gave out fake copaganda on what they were doing, they were not there doing any investigation, they just made up lies to try and protect and cover up what they were doing which appeared to be illegally towing vehicles for profit, allegedly.
All made up lies trying to protect Officer Krueger and the Blue Line Gang of Fort Worth PD.
Officer Krueger is the one that was interfering with Carolyn’s First Amendment Rights and he is the one that assaulted her.
He should be fired, arrested and locked up for the rest of his life for Felony, Aggravated Assault and Battery.
The Corrupt District Attorney that prosecuted her case should be fired and disbarred.
Their was No Probable Cause to even bring a case to court.
The Corrupt Judge should also step down and be disbarred for even allowing this kangaroo court to even take place, he should have immediately stepped in and dismissed the case with prejudice.
The jury made a huge mistake for convicting her for No Crime, they are a disgrace.
They should have found her Not Guilty of All Charges.
Fort Worth Police Officer Matthew Krueger committed a Crime of Felony, Aggravated Assault and Battery causing bodily harm and Used Excessive Force and made an Unlawful Arrest without Probable Cause and without first obtaining an Arrest Warrant.
He should immediately be Arrested and Fired and be Prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The entire City of Fort Worth City Council is also a disgrace and should All step down and resign there seats on the Council for Not taking any action on what happened to Carolyn and for not firing Officer Krueger for what he did to her.
Officer Krueger has an alleged abusive past of Assault and Unlawful Arrest on Women from past employment at Irving, TX PD.
Officer Krueger is a Ticking Time Bomb waiting to go off and its only a matter of time before he either hurts someone else or unalives someone.
No one deserves to be slammed on their head for no reason especially not an innocent female that was not doing anything wrong but exercising her First Amendment Rights.
For any Blue Line Gang Thug Boot Lickers out there reading this post (FU).
Put yourself in Carolyn’s place or her family and see how you would feel.
What would you say or do if this happened to your Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt or any Female in your life.
Would you not be mad and upset on what Officer Krueger did to her.
And for the one that called her a Frauditor, (FU) too.
Wake up and start doing something to help protect all of our Constitutional Rights before the Govt. takes them all away, one right at a time.
