Boston 25 News reported on Monday that a BOLO (be on the lookout) has been issued for blogger Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney (Turtleboy) on probable cause for felony charges of domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation.
Rumors began to circulate on Sunday and continued into Monday on Twitter and in former Turtleboy employee Kate Peter’s Discord server that a BOLO had been issued for Turtleboy. While unconfirmed, the rumors indicated that Kearney had been in a dispute with an alleged former lover who was a witness in court case involving felony charges of witness tampering by Turtleboy in the Karen Read murder trial.
The Boston 25 News report picked up on those rumors, indicating that Turtleboy was at the home of a woman he has been in a relationship with and who is a witness in the court case against him when the incident took place Friday night.
The incident happened following Kearney’s arraignment on Friday for felony charges of intimidation of a witness, conspiracy to intimidate a witness and multiple counts of picketing a witness during his time as the leader of the “Free Karen Read” movement.
The “Free Karen Read” movement is devoted to supporting alleged murderess Karen Read, who is facing charges of murdering boyfriend Boston Police officer Michael O’Keefe in 2022. Turtleboy had been actively leading protests in support of Read when he is alleged to have committed the crimes he is charged with.
The administrator of Turtleboy’s Facebook page apparently confirmed rumors of the BOLO with a statement to Turtleboy’s supporters late Monday afternoon:
