YouTuber Regan Benson returned to her old stomping grounds of the Englewood, Colorado, Civic Center on Thursday in order to do some FOIA requests after filing a complaint at the police station.
Benson started her video with her new sidekick, MJ, a formerly homeless woman who is doing community service through Benson’s 501(c)(3) organization. Benson explained that they were about to go into the Englewood police department to complain about a scene they had just witnessed near a Walgreens store.
The YouTuber said that they drove into the Walgreens parking lot after noticing police were near a parked camper. Instead, she eventually explained that they came across a domestic disturbance between a man and his wife three small children.
Benson claimed to have approached the scene and was silently filming when a police officer named “Gifford” criticized her for filming the domestic dispute. Instead of explaining herself, she became aggressive towards the officer and at one point had a verbal dispute with a small child involved with the scene.
The YouTuber later encountered another officer who explained what was going on at the scene and Benson refused to offer services from her homeless outreach charity to the woman involved in the dispute because the woman was critical of Benson in protecting her child, who Benson was engaging negatively with.
In front of 67 of her YouTube followers who attended the live stream, Benson assured those followers that since she filmed “static” and didn’t live stream the event, she would now turn Officer Gifford into the new target of her scorn on her YouTube channel. Indicating that she would soon have shorts and videos featuring how the officer acted negatively towards her.
After filing her complaint about Gifford and a commendation for the officer who later assisted her, Benson took MJ over to the nearby civic center. She explained that MJ was with her as MJ was doing hours of her community service through Benson’s charity and she would be having MJ speak, apparently as part of her community service hours, at the upcoming Englewood City Council meeting on Benson’s behalf.
The YouTuber marveled at how nice the Englewood City Hall was now that the multiple Allied Security Guards she had run ins within the past were fired, complained loudly that the third-floor bathrooms were off-limits to the public, and proclaimed that she would be centering her activities around Englewood as she carried out future investigations.
Benson is expected to return to streaming Tuesday night during the scheduled Englewood City Council meeting.
