Popular YouTuber Kevin “The Angry Vet” Soper was sentenced to 90 days in the Cecil County Detention Center in Maryland on Friday for a trespassing charge stemming from an August 2025 incident where he confronted a police officer at his home.
The incident happened on August 26 of last year and was reported on by Soper himself on a livestream after the incident had been resolved.

According to Soper’s reporting, he was traveling in Harford County, Maryland, when a police deputy’s vehicle drove past him at a high rate of speed without his lights or sirens on.
He followed the road and found the vehicle parked at a private residence. He went to the door and confronted the police officer about the incident which he said resulted in a call to police by the officer after the officer went into “tyrant mode” and asked Soper to leave his property.
As he was leaving, Soper was confronted by a second man, who Soper mockingly said was the officer’s lover. Soper and the man continued to scream at each other until police arrived.
He later went to a local park where he livestreamed his version of the story and talked himself out of going to the police department to file a formal complaint against the officer.

The day after the event, Soper livestreamed again and was paranoid about the possibility of the police having a warrant for his arrest.
He later attempted to file a report against the officer at the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. While he was at the office, he was told that the police force was divided into North and South zones and that he was at the Northern zone while the officer in question worked in the Southern zone.
While Soper was unable to file his police complaint at that time, he pledged to follow up on the police report, despite his growing paranoia that police were following him.
Soper has since removed his livestreams in relation to the incident from YouTube and had not mentioned it since the second video.
According to police reports, an arrest warrant was issued for Soper on the day of the incident, and he was picked up by police by August 29, 2025. He was released from custody the same day after posting a $3,000.00 on an Unsecured Personal Bond.
The charges quietly progressed through the court system during the late summer and fall of 2025 with Soper waving an attorney and representing himself.
Ultimately, a one-day trial was held on Friday, where Soper was convicted of a single count of trespass on private property. He was then sentenced to 90 days in county jail. Soper is appealing the decision.
The conviction may prove problematic for Soper as he was still on probation for eight counts of felony wiretapping on October 15, 2024. In that trial, Soper was sentenced to 90 days in jail per charge to be served concurrently but had the sentencing set aside as he reportedly in favor of 18 months of supervised probation.
Soper appealed the convicted and lost with the appeals court reaching a decision against him on January 8, 2026.
The YouTuber then sued the judge and court clerk from that trial on January 8, 2026 in Federal court.
In the lawsuit, Soper is seeking:
- Compensatory Damages in the amount of $45,000.00;
- Punitive damages in an amount to be determined by a Jury at trial;
- An award of reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in prosecuting this action, as permitted by law; and
- Such other and further relief as the Court deems just and proper.
- Declaratory judgment that the actions of the Defendants, as described herein, violated the Plaintiff’s rights under the United States Constitution.
With time off for good behavior and provided additional time is not granted for violating his parole, Soper may be released by mid-April of 2026.
