Kevin “The Angry Vet” Soper’s Monday livestream seemed to be billed as started with dramatic moment because the description indicated that police had been called when he went live from an undetermined location and that he was possibly in danger.
As the stream actually started, no such real drama had happened, at least on camera. It was eventually revealed that he was in the parking lot outside of a post office in Lawrence, Kansas, talking with a pair of police officers.
With the camera displaying his own unkempt beard and face, Soper briefly interacted with a male voice, asking for name and badge number, before a female voice joined the male. A story could be heard that another female was upset and had reported suspicious activity.
Soper would eventually turn the camera around to show the female voice, now seen as a female police officer then requested the badge number and name of the male police officer, who had left the scene.
After the female officer left, Soper pointed to the vehicle driven by the male officer and said that the man was a “tyrant” despite what seemed like a benign encounter at the start of the livestream.
Soper went on to describe a situation where he was attempting to audit a post office and a female patron became outraged at his behavior and called the police. When police arrived, they affirmed his right to film and resolved the situation.
After the police were out of sight, Soper re-entered the post office and began to record again. He attempted to purchase a large shipping box and was denied service by a postal employee who refused to be on camera.
He briefly traded negative words with a male patron, following the man towards the front of the shop to get the man’s information, before changing his mind and returning to purchase his box from the remaining clerk on duty.
That clerk handled the interaction professionally, but rebuffed Soper’s attempt at charm when he said that she should be the postmaster of the building. She said that she wouldn’t want that job and reminded Soper that all employees wore name tags when he demanded the other clerk’s name.
Soper left the building without further incident, then wandered around the parking lot complaining that the wasn’t a lot of shade because trees don’t grow very high in Kansas.
He eventually made it back to his vehicle, huffing and puffing from the 88F heat, and began to drive around the shopping center’s extended parking lot. As he passed a bank, he mockingly said, “Oh look, it’s a bank. Let’s stop and audit it” before making a similar comment about dispensary.
Soper has been increasingly at odds with auditors like Basil “BZWatchDog” Zangare, who have moved from traditional auditing tropes such as post-office audits, to focus on standing outside of banks and dispensaries in order to provoke interaction with employees and authorities from the sidewalk.
The veteran and YouTuber mocking his compatriots for their new focus and pre-planned videos involving no real risk involved in the audit.
Making brief mention of the on-going campaign to cut his hair for a donation to the Locks of Love charity, Soper did not mention details of the campaign. That campaign, involving the charity that provides wigs for children in need, has been based on donations to Soper’s the Servicemen and Citizens for American Rights Society (SCARS), GoFundMe campaign.
That campaign last saw a donation in January, 2025 and has yet to support from the public with donations to the on-going campaign. That campaign is seeing over $10,000.00 in cash donations with the ultimate goal of Soper cutting his hair to provide a donation to the children’s charity.
Soper ended the video reminding himself that he can’t afford to be arrested in the area as he (has) “a few more days before I can think about that.”
