As expected, SeanPaul “Long Island Audits” Reyes late launch of his latest “unlawful arrest” fund took propelled him to the top spot for the overall GoFundMe crown for September, pulling in an impressive $4,221.00 for his Support Freedom Stand Against Tyranny Together Campaign.
Reactions of his fans to his arrest also saw placement of some of his other campaigns in the top ten for the month. His Unlawful Arrest & Constitutional Rights fund, which took in $62. His Support the Fight Against Tyranny & Corruption fund, which took in $182.00, and his Fund Legal Defense Against Unlawful Arrest campaign took in $25.00.
Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s decision to temporarily suspend his GoFundMe campaigns may have been due to lack of participation from his fans, with his Lawyer Fund Only – All Dollars Go to Lawyers fun and Legal Aid Fund, Donation Fund, Help People Fund both taking in $20.00 for the month.
It is still unclear why DeCastro suspended his multiple fundraising campaigns that were devoted to his past and future lawsuits. His suspension of his Justice for All Legal Battle for Accountability, which had made $4,558.00 out of a $100,000.00 goal to sue Justice of the Peace Ann Zimmerman was wildly questioned as there were promises attached to the GoFundMe.
DeCastro promised all of his followers who donated that he would throw a party in Las Vegas to celebrate any settlement he’d get from suing the state of Nevada for his wrongful conviction. He also promised to pay for a hotel room for anyone who contributed to the campaign, and he would spend the same amount on the party as he received in donations.
Again, after receiving advice that it would be nearly impossible to sue a sitting Judge, he was still fundraising for the lawsuit. His decision to flee the Las Vegas area and relocate to Los Angeles and seemingly give up on his planned lawsuits against all of his perceived enemies has left his fans puzzled at best. More importantly, questions remain as he did not refund the money raised for his planned lawsuits once the decision was made to not move forward with them.
Rounding out the top contenders for the month, Denver Metro Audits’ Defend DMA in the fight against corruption and oath breakers took in $130.00 for the month, Direct D’s Help Christopher Ruff (Direct D) Clear his Name campaign took in $20.00 and Blue Bacon’s Cover Defense Costs Against a Frivolous Lawsuit took in $150.00.
Lastly, our own Ongoing Expenses fund took in $445.00 for the month. I want to thank everyone for contributing to the fund, and still contributing to that fund. While we’ll hopefully eventually phase the fund out, right now being fully monetized on YouTube doesn’t mean much as we’re still a tiny channel and we’ve earned $.90 for the month so far off of nearly 600 videos.
Which brings us to… On that note, if you’d like to donate to help Jim recoup the costs of being off the air for half the with COVID, or to keep him writing this dreadful column each day, you can contribute to the GoFundMe run by this very channel (https://gofund.me/b8144e31). All proceeds go to keeping the lights on, eating, and writing new stories to feature here and on reallycoolsite.org.
