An enraged Regan Benson burst into the Englewood, Colorado, Civic Center Monday night clutching a new lawsuit and preparing to address the Englewood City Council with her usual blend of insults, degrading comments and direct threats towards council members and Englewood city employees.
Benson was fired up as she had filed a new federal civil rights lawsuit against various city employees and police officers on Sunday, alleging abuse and first amendment retaliation. She was preparing to announce the lawsuit during her three minutes of speaking time during the City Council Meeting’s time allotted for public feedback.
Stopping to greet Allied Security Guard Dwight, who Benson, accompanied by her husband, seemed cheerful and well prepared for the ramifications of her lawsuit. She seemed to have stars in her eyes as she expected “millions” from the city she had been at odds with for so long.
Benson’s next stop was to pass through a security check point and speak with Englewood police officer Christopher Caggiano. Benson cheerfully told Caggiano that he was not named in the lawsuit, but not for his lack of trying. She jokingly explained that her lawyer was enamored with his handsomeness and that fact alone saved him from the suit.
Mockingly shocked by her statement, Caggiano offered to help when Benson then announced that she had not heard any updates on her recent report of being physically assaulted during an anti-Trump rally earlier this month.
In that incident, Benson was in the middle of a mix of listening to the protester’s feelings about President Donald J. Trump and insulting them for not taking part sooner in anti-government protests, when she was assaulted by a Trump supporter.
Benson would flag down an Englewood police cruiser to make a report, then would later send an e-mail to both the Englewood City Council and Englewood Police Chief David Jackson demanding an update of her case within 24 hours.
Jackson replied that her case would be handled through proper channels and would not receive preferential treatment, and it apparently lingered in limbo since that exchange.
Officer Caggiano performed a search on his computer and found that a citation had been issued in the case, however, the file was locked, and he was unable to access it.
Benson became outraged with the fact that she had not been notified of the citation against her alleged assailant and stormed into the City Council chamber to confront Police Chief Jackson, who was sitting at the back of the room.
Jackson told Benson that it was not the time or the place to have a confrontation, Benson insulted him and walked away, apparently now fired up for her speech later in the night.
The YouTuber awaited her turn and took to the podium to deliver a speech celebrating her lawsuit. She indicated that the lawsuit would cost the city “millions” while insulting Englewood’s mayor, members of the city council, the city manager and city attorney.
She then directed her ire at city council member Joe Anderson, claiming that he would never be mayor and that she would stop him from winning reelection to the city council in the upcoming elections.
After finishing her speech, she returned to her husband’s truck, where her livestream abruptly ended, apparently due to technical issues.
Benson’s lawsuit was filed with the District Court for the District of Colorado on Sunday. It names nine defendants, including Englewood Mayor Othoniel Sierra, city councilman Joe Anderson and City Attorney Tamera Niles.
The lawsuit details two years of Benson’s activities in Englewood and alleges that the defendants engaged in an on-going conspiracy to deprive Benson of her civil rights. Among her claims are multiple charges of first amendment retaliation by the defendants, as she was not permitted to speak at the Englewood City Council meetings on multiple occasions.
Also included in the lawsuit is a direct challenge to Englewood’s policy prohibiting filming in government buildings without the expressed permission of those who are being filmed.
Benson received a settlement from the city of Denver, Colorado, last year for $130,000.00 to settle two first amendment related lawsuits. While Benson claimed that the suit would cost the city “millions,” no direct amount of damages was specified in her lawsuit.
This is a breaking news story.

Oh yes, another victory of go away money.
All of the defendants are going to enjoy free legal services for this.
She is not going to be able to sue them on an individual basis as they were acting in their professional duties.
Oh and the city has insurance for this, so it won’t even cost them anything to give her the go away money.
The main question is, how long and how much.
This will never go to trial…
Otherwise, all those videos of her being a rude b-i-t-c-h would be entered into evidence and the jury would turn on her in a heartbeat.
The lawyer made 33% to 50% of her last two suits so why not…
It beats working for a living.
