Kate Peter’s Troll Mafia Official YouTube broadcast on February 9, 2023 devolved, as usual, into absolute chaos and ended in a surprise appearance by Jose “Chille” DeCastro.
Peter was joined by her usual co-hosts and initially by guest Felipe Hemming. Hemming brought on his friend and former co-worker at Photography is Not a Crime (PINAC), Grant Stern.
Hemming and Stern told a rambling tale of how PINAC was created by Carlos Miller and how Miller created the site and ultimately destroyed his credibility by getting involved in some questionable business practices. Peter stepped in and made it clear that it was unfair to make accusations of impropriety against someone who was not there and could not defend himself.
The pair dominated the show with endless references to Carlos Miller for over 80 minutes, ignoring verbal cues from the hosts to get back on subject and from the side chat, which was in a state of open revolt.
Peter attempted to divert attention from yet another Carlos Miller story by playing selected random portions of DeCastro’s recent YouTube broadcast in which he said he would sue her for the rest of their lives. Admitting to not screening the video in advance, Peter seemed surprised at the depth of DeCastro’s accusations, but stopped to remind her audience that DeCastro was a human being and deserved compassion.
While Peter was making her impassioned defense of DeCastro, DeCastro released a video that mocked Peter’s befuddlement at DeCastro’s legal accusations that she had somehow harassed his dog, which were included in his most recent filings. DeCastro shook his dog until the dog bared his teeth, something DeCastro has previously done on live streams, which immediately drew criticism of animal abuse from those who viewed the video.
Peter covered the charges made by Welsh News Network (WNN) that DeCastro was involved in recruiting children to cross state lines to go to a rally on behalf of Jacquline “Laney” Hudson, a West Virginia teen who was killed in a traffic accident in late December. Mocking WNN, she explained that her key problem with WNN’s reporting was the fact that he refused to show evidence to back his statements and when pressed, reacted negatively.
While not directly repeating her previous claims that WNN was lying, Peter, contradicting her earlier statements about the fairness of making accusation towards someone who was not present, continued her accusations against WNN without allowing him the opportunity to defend himself or inviting him up on the panel.
An account claiming to be Jose “Chille” DeCastro appeared in the side chat demanding to come up on panel. One of her co-hosts confirmed that the account was legitimate, and Peter cleared her panel at the request of DeCastro, who claimed he was going to offer her a settlement, and, after briefly turning off her video and taking an audible hit of a cigarette, allowed him up on her panel.
The pair talked over each other and traded accusations for several minutes with Peter initially stating that settlements do not happen in live streams. DeCastro, appearing to be calm and rational, went into a calm speech denying that he was acting with malice and assured the confused Peter that he was honest and acting in good faith.
When Peter, prompted by sometime legal advisor MERB in the side chat, asked for terms, DeCastro declined to give them, stating that any terms would be made in private as a live stream was not the appropriate place to negotiate. The conversation ended and DeCastro left the voice chat.
Peter was rejoined by Hemming and two of her co-hosts. Hemming launched into an impassioned statement that he respected DeCastro’s honesty and willingness to engage in an open dialog with Peter. As Hemming spent several minutes repeating himself, Peter was notified of the video that DeCastro had made mocking her earlier in the night.
When Peter addressed the video, DeCastro started to mock Peter in the side chat, stating that the video was a troll and making sarcastic comments that he was serious about settling with her. Peter, appearing stunned by these developments, ended the broadcast.
Welsh News Network is scheduled to go live on his YouTube channel at 6:30 PM ET to address Kate Peter’s accusations.
