Controversial YouTuber Jeremiah Payne released a YouTube video featuring negative voicemails he claimed to have received from critics. Payne played 13 calls during the video; the vast majority of the calls appeared to be from the same person.
In messages Payne posted in response to the video, he claimed that the voice sounded like YouTuber Keeping it Criminal (KIC). He also indicated that he has reported the calls to Child Protection Services (CPS) in Kentucky and that CPS would apparently be prosecuting individuals who made the calls.
Shortly after the video aired on Payne’s YouTube channel, YouTuber Keeping it Criminal went live on his own channel denying the allegations. KIC said that the voice sounded like and used the cadence of Jose “Chille” DeCastro. DeCastro was involved with the fundraising efforts for Payne’s family and provided a “Person of Justice” to transport Payne and his wife Samantha to court appearances last week.
YouTuber Frog UK Transparency released details of the charges YouTuber JoeySurrealCamera (JSC) faces after his arrest during a livestream in Miami from a government building on Wednesday. JSC ignored repeated directions from police to leave the building before being taken into custody.
JSC has been charged with trespassing on a property after warning, disorderly conduct and obstructing a police officer. His total bond has been set at $1750 for the charges. It is unknown if the bond conditions have been satisfied at press time.
Matt DeCastro, an apparent cousin of Jose DeCastro, filed paperwork with the California Superior Court on Monday. The document claims that Matt DeCastro mailed copies of Jose DeCastro’s amended lawsuit against Clement, Kate Peter, Blue Bacon, Team Skeptic and 30 John Doe defendants to Clement on March 19.
The document provides no receipts for the transaction nor copies of what Matt DeCastro reportedly sent to Clement. Clement has made no public statements to acknowledge service of the paperwork.
Jose DeCastro’s attempts to seek a default judgement against Clement were denied last week by a clerk of the California Superior Court of Las Angeles. DeCastro made three attempts at properly filling out the request for judgement and was denied on his last attempt as he had not shown that he had served Clement with the amended complaint.
Special thanks to Paul Berry for providing a copy of the filing.
