Controversial auditor Auditing America, more widely known as “Asselmo,” interrupted his latest video to announce that he was taking a break from posting new videos as he “clears up” multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest around the United States.
The newly video, a simple post office audit in Gainesville, Florida, was filmed on February 14, 2024, and featured a shout out by Asselmo to gal pal HeatherRaeTV after he had a negative encounter with postal workers.
He found that the post office did not have poster 7 on display as required, and Gainesville police agreed that he had a right to film in the facility and would be able to go back in and film after talking to the officers.
The audit itself was his standard formula of provoking an encounter with a worker who objected to being filmed, then loudly provoking the person to extend his footage until police were called in to handle the situation.
Asselmo continues to be one of the best auditors with his gimmick and filming, showing more skill and provoking to the point where police are called, unlike someone like Glenn Cerio, who seems to avoid a police encounter at all costs.
The standard (and fairly boring) audit was saved, though, by Asselmo’s pre-show announcement that he was suspending posting new videos as he was going to travel the countryside to clear his name of all the charges “wrongly” made against him.
Asselmo directed his fans to his new GoFundMe campaign (mentioned in our tracking article today) and asked for their help in providing funds for his legal defense. He said he had multiple “illegal arrests” and his campaign was ultimately seeking $50,000.00 to help with his legal bills.
The YouTuber also indicated that he would consider “turning himself in” for more serious “illegal” charges in multiple states.
Asselmo has always remained a controversial figure. With allegations of battery in his past and a supposed violent temper, he’s worked hard to keep his anger in check while auditing. Previous Partnerships, including a famous partnership with Fake Mic Real News, have ended due to his explosiveness and arrogant behavior.
His GoFundMe stands at #382.00 raised out of a goal of $50,000.00 as of press time.
