The success of Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, Esq. in representing Jose “Chille” DeCastro in his on-going lawsuit against John “Irish Demon” O’Dea on Wednesday were overshadowed by Thursday’s attempt by consumer advocate Louis Rossmann to have his fans help him end Newman’s career.
Newman started the day with a hearing in the O’Dea lawsuit. Dressed in a dark blue suit, light blue dress shirt and blue and white tie, the attorney waited patiently as the court gave time for O’Dea or his representative to appear before starting the proceedings. When no one appeared for the defense, proceedings started around seven minutes past the start of the hour.
The hearing went around eight minutes with Chief Magistrate Judge Nathanael M. Cousins expressing that he was inclined to recommend the awarding of the default to DeCastro. He gave Newman until April 27, 2026, to file a supplemental brief to cover plaintiff’s damages, attorney’s fees and costs. O’Dea would have until May 4, 2026, to respond to the brief.
The Judge vacated an April 8, 2026, case management hearing and set the next hearing on the default judgment for May 6, 2026.
DeCastro was not required to appear at Wednesday’s hearing.
Early Thursday morning advocate Rossmann posted a video on his YouTube channel asking his fans to help destroy Newman’s career. Rossmann, who previously had called out Newman in two videos for the inclusion of a claim based on 17 U.S. Code § 1201 in Christopher Cordova’s lawsuit against Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Hudon-Huneault.
In his video, Rossmann called for the disbarment of Newmann based on screen shots that appeared to be similar to screen shots recently featured in a now-deleted video on Hudon-Huneault’s YouTube channel. Hudon-Huneault recently removed 300 streams on his YouTube channel and a portion of those screen shots featured in his video were apparently captured from our own private ReallyCoolNewswire discord server.
Rossmann’s call to action was accompanied by a Github page dedicated to his bar complaint with instructions on how his fans can directly file a bar complaint against Newman in both states that Newman is licensed in, California and New York.
Reactions to Rossmann’s video were varied, with the majority of those who watched his video condemning Newman’s comments as vile and disgusting. Some have expressed distaste for the comments and demanded punishment for Newman.
Others have expressed concerns that those who have anti-first amendment auditing stances would back the use of brigading and shame silencing of those who they disagree with. First amendment auditors Craig Hendry and Lane Myers were both found guilty of harassment charges related to brigading campaigns on their channels.
YouTuber Merb34st made multiple videos in reactions to Rossmann’s videos. He said that the bar complaint more than likely would fail due to the fact that despite the brigading attack by Rossmann, most of the bar complaints would not matter as none of those who complained had any association with Newman.
While he shared his utter disgust for Newman as a person, he defended Newman’s first amendment rights to say the things he said. He scoffed at the idea that attorneys should be held to higher standards.
As Rossman failed to link to Hudon-Huneault’s GoFundMe campaign for a second video in a row on the matter. Based on this, Hudon-Huneault’s Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit campaign placed second in the crowdsourcing race for Thursday, pulling in $98.00.
