YouTuber MitChLOVIN paid a visit on Saturday to Lane Meyers’ residence in Arizona to “investigate prospective window repairs” based on Myers’ previous description of an “assassination attempt” he claimed that was perpetuated by MitChLOVIN and Jim Freedom on behalf of Christopher “Direct D” Ruff that left a window shattered at his home.
The event allegedly happened on March 10, 2025. Myers said that he was standing in front of his computer in his computer room when a man who looked similar to MitChLOVIN approached his window and either shot at or threw a rock through the window. He gave chase to the person and the person sped off.
Myers directly claimed that here were over a dozen ring doorbells that caught the fleeing car on camera in the “gated community” where he lived in a house worth over $500,000.00. He also directly stated that the get away vehicle had stopped at a stop sign and a full license plate was caught on camera. Myers has refused to show any of the footage from the night, the license plate number or any photos or other videos based on the supposed on-going investigation.
According to Myers’ story, the police came and there were Pima County Sheriffs deputies everywhere armed with AR-15s and a helicopter in the sky searching for his alleged assailants. No visible evidence of a police presence outside of the house was observed during the livestream.
Inside the house, Myers had baggies of mysterious substances mixed in with the shards of broken glass on his computer desk. Despite being near the window, there were no signs of damage to his computer monitor or other equipment on the standing computer desk.
There was no police tape, no signs of officers inside the house, Myers showed a brochure from a police department with a “report number” written on it. The Pima County Sheriff’s department did not respond to our request for information using the information provided by Myers.
The next 12 hours would reveal that Myers’ claims that the FBI were coming to arrest Christopher “Direct D” Ruff in a pre-dawn raid were untrue. Also, Jim Freedom, the supposed get away driver provided an alibi of sorts as his car was a hybrid and couldn’t make the noises that Myers described the vehicle is making.
While Myers has toned down his story and was no longer mentioning his direct connections to the FBI with every other threat. The story remained the same when he would mention it, but had otherwise dropped it completely, moving on to other issues.
MitChLOVIN arrived at Myers’ property at mid-afternoon, and no one was home. He parked across the street and had noted that contrary to Myers’ claims, Myers did not live in a gated community and MitChLOVIN questioned the values of the properties in the area.
As he got out of his car, he was approached by one of Myers’ neighbors. He explained that he was in the area for business and had come to see if he could find out more information about Myers’ claims on the internet about that night and the allegations against him.
The woman described Myers as “eccentric” and confirmed that at one point he had gone through the neighborhood showing off a photo of a man matching the description of Christopher “Direct D” Ruff.
MitChLOVIN explained that Ruff and Myers were in a conflict with each other online, but that Ruff was a “good guy” in his opinion and running for sheriff in Apache County, Arizona.
The woman remained skeptical of MitChLOVIN, who appears and sometimes has mannerisms of an American version of the hippy character named Neal from the classic British comedy “The Young Ones.”
On the night of the incident, the woman said that she heard a loud bang but didn’t think much of it as people shoot their guns off in the remote area all the time. She did see a single police car driving through the area but confirmed that she did not see dozens of officers or a helicopter overhead.
She said her Ring doorbell camera would have taken a photo if a car had sped off as described by Myers, but not of cars moving at a normal rate of speed. The woman also warned MitChLOVIN that he didn’t need to be friends with everyone, including those who may have “a screw loose.”
When informed of Myers’ current status as being held on a “no bond” order after being arrested for multiple new felonies in violation of release conditions for previous felonies, the woman was not surprised and indicated she could have seen that happening.
After thanking the woman, he allowed her to take photos of him, his car and his car’s license plates. He said he understood how uncomfortable it felt with a stranger near her property and complied with all of her requests to show that he meant no harm.
MitChLOVIN later went into town to find that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department was closed on the weekends. Eventually, he found a deputy, who ran his name through the computer and found no mention of it in police reports. He also ran Lane Myers’ name and found no reports of a recent incident involving the department.
While MitChLOVIN used the wrong date of the incident (giving the officer March 14 when it happened on March 10), when given the address where the incident happened, he said that it was within the city limits and outside of the jurisdiction of the Sheriff’s Department.
Myers has bigger issues to deal with at the moment as he is indeed being held in jail until at least Tuesday, when he goes before a judge for a “no bond” hearing to show that he should be released from custody.
He is currently facing 11 felony charges and 7 misdemeanor charges.
Myers’ fundraising for Saturday fell off, taking in $25.00 for the day. It was the only active campaign that received a donation and pushed his GiveSendGo account into the overall market lead for the year.
