Long Island Audit Falls in GoFundMe Race

The recent reign of SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes as GoFundMe came to an end on Thursday as the king of all First Amendment Auditors was unable to capitalize on his recent arrest, bringing in only $5.00 for the day and being bested by our own On-Going Expenses fund with took in $10.00.

Reyes’ decline should not be a surprise to anyone. As we stated before, without a reason to donate or a person with a vendetta forcing you to write a daily column that cause you great pain by donating every day, word of mouth alone isn’t enough to keep a GoFundMe campaign going.

In this case, Reyes was smart and was able to raise a few hundred dollars more to the campaign on Sunday as he released the “illegal” footage of his arrest that he recorded with the camera in his sunglasses.

Essentially, the footage showed that there was some confusion at the scene as to what Reyes should be charged with. Initially, he was told it was a violation of a previous trespass order however, Reyes was never officially trespassed from the building. He was told that he could be trespassed in the future if he returned and recorded again in violation of a Judge’s ban on recording in the building.

The ultimate charge was contempt of court in violation of that judge’s order against recording in the building.

Reyes was fairly calm and cooperative during the arrest, knowingly recording the whole time with his sunglasses. He at no time shared with the officers that the sunglasses were a recording device, and feigned ignorance in his interview with his lawyer last week about how the police came to the conclusion about which charges he would face.

Ultimately, the new footage was enough to propel Reyes to victories throughout the week, and to an overall take of over $4,000 for September, besting all other funds in the market.

Reyes has not returned to the subject since the “illegal footage” release, and other than a few drive by donations, is not expected to reach his goal of $10,000.00 for the fund in the near future.

On that note, if you’d like to lift our spirits and help us with our on-going expenses as we recover from COVID, or to keep the bastard Jim Finch writing this dreadful column each day, you can contribute to the GoFundMe run by this very channel (https://gofund.me/b8144e31). All proceeds go to keeping the lights on, eating, and writing new stories to feature here and on reallycoolsite.org.

The GoFundMe market died over the weekend as we saw no donations to any of the funds that follow over the weekend, with the market continuing to spurn both Craig Hendry’s campaigns, the SCARS campaign and SeanPaul “Long Island Audits” Reyes in general.

Jose “Chille” DeCastro went live again late Saturday night with a near record low 108 viewers on his main YouTube channel, a number that DeCastro attributed to “shadow banning” even though he could not account for such low numbers on platforms outside of YouTube.

The at one point almost-unstoppable Craig Hendry string of wins came to an end on Friday as a lack of communication from the Hendry camp and little promotion outside of the Hendry-sphere brought the juggernaut of a campaign to an almost dead stop.
