Monday’s livestream on Zachary “Liberty Troll” Kueker’s channel left fans confused as the YouTuber claimed to be in great distress and fear while actively hunting down a man he said “assaulted” him at a Florida Publix.
Kueker said that he was driving through the parking lot of the Publix to get to a dispensary that he had planned on auditing when he noticed multiple police cars. He stopped and pulled out his phone to record two officers arresting a man for trespassing.
By his own admission, Kueker interjected himself into the situation, demanding to know what was going on. The “tyrant” police officers invoked Florida’s HALO law and asked Kueker to step away from the scene while they were in the process of making an arrest.
Kueker then demanded to do an immediate public records request, as such a request can, according to Kueker, be given at any time to any police officer. He was again rebuffed by the officers.
While Kueker was causing a scene during the arrest, bystanders, including workers from the Publix, objected to his presence and his alleged attempted interference with the crime scene.
According to Kueker’s account, a man named “Kevin” approached him and told him that if he didn’t stop filming the man, he’d knock Kueker’s phone out of his hand. Under Florida law this constituted “assault” as Kueker was fearful for his life in the situation.
The man left the scene soon after that, with the now outraged Kueker demanding to file a police report and demanding to have the man arrested. Police, who were apparently unaware of the situation between the two men, took Kueker’s report after watching Kueker’s video of the situation.
After the second officer left the scene, the first officer began his investigation and went to obtain and/or preserve footage from the store. Kueker, showing no fear, then began his own investigation in the parking lot and in the store to find out more information about the man.
Kueker, hiding his phone as he was afraid of being trespassed from Publix for recording without permission, walked through the store multiple time and ascertained that the shirt “Kevin” was wearing matched those of the workers in the bakery section.
He then also spotted “Kevin” walking outside of the car and fearlessly followed the man with the intention of recording the make, model and license plate of the man’s car. Kevin ignored the screaming Kueker and walked out of the parking lot and continued his way to a connected group of stores.
As Kueker walked, he began to get paranoid about the situation he found himself in. He began to berate the police as “tyrants” and stated that he would go after Publix legally if they did not fire Kevin after the supposed incident.
Kueker later encountered the police officer working the scene and became further infuriated when the officer said that he wasn’t planning on arresting anyone until he talked to “Kevin” and getting his side of the story.
After that encounter, Kueker gave out the store’s direct phone number and encouraged his fans to “redress” the private business to let them know their outrage over the situation.
Kueker had yet to update his fans on the situation by mid-week.
