Providing his now standard interview, jailed YouTuber Lane Myers was featured in a recorded appearance on Zach “Liberty Troll” Kruker’s Sunday afternoon livestream.
Kruker started the video by explaining that Myers was concerned with increased scrutiny by the guards at the Pima County Adult Correctional facility about his appearances on various YouTube channels being directly livestreamed. Kruker instead agreed to record his conversation with Myers and air it later.
This proved to be comical as Kruker, like nearly every other first amendment auditing related YouTuber, was switching from the expense Streamyard software to the OBS software platform.
Kruker’s setup featured a square of his own face in the lower left hand corner of his screen, while videos played behind him. During this interview, the video area featured a gigantic mirror of the lower screen, featuring his face from his perspective during the Myers interview.
This gave the lower corner a weird perspective as his current face viewed his face from earlier in the day as he interacted with Myers.
As for the interview itself, Myers repeated the same lines he has said on previous livestreams. However, he openly referred to his victim in the case as “Shannon Walker” despite previous limits on saying her name openly.
The change of policy was soon echoed by Kruker, and Myers said that Walker was not his victim, but a victim of her own stupidity since she backed her “corrupt” husband.
Myers would then state that he felt like he would be in prison for the rest of his life and would never see his wife, family or dogs again. He claimed that the Pima County Adult Corrections facility did not provide family visitation and that after his probable conviction, he would more than likely be shipped to a prison out of the area.
Because of this, he claimed he would be using the victim’s real name since there was little more anyone could do to punish him as he was already indefinitely incarcerated in the facility.
New to the interview was Myers’ apparent concern for his domestic partner, who he refers to as his wife. He mocked prosecutor Rachel Stiles for including his partner on the witness list, since she would be unable to provide the information Stiles was seeking.
Myers directly blamed Shannon Walker for having his wife fired from her previous job, which halved the amount of money she earned each month. He then explained that the house he shares with his partner has a $400,000.00 mortgage with $2,000.00 due every month.
Since he was no longer able to pay his “half” of expenses, his wife was now facing increasing hardship with payments on the house. He bemoaned the possible loss of an $80,000.00 downpayment on the house, which Myers said was his life savings.
Kruker brough tup Myers’ GiveSendGo account and provided a link to the campaign in his side chat during the livestream. This resulted in $760.00 in new donations to Myers’ campaign, which was enough to win the crowd sourcing title for Sunday.
With the market returning to goose egg territory, Myers earned a rare victory for his on-going legal expenses campaign.
Myers abruptly ended the video stream when his phone time for the day ran out, leaving Kruker to pitch to his fans undying support for Myers’ cause.
