State of Arizona vs. Lane Meyrs – Motion to Dismiss Count Six State of Arizona vs. Lane Myers – Motion to Dismiss Multiplicitous Harassment Counts State of Arizona vs. Lane Myers – Response to Defendant's Motion for Rehearing on Bond

Lane Myers returned to the headlines on Thursday as his demand for a plea deal and immediate release on Wednesday fell short and multiple new filings were made in regards to his existing charges.

When we last left off in the sad strange world of Lane Myers, he had an off-camera arraignment last Friday for the charges he picked up while being out on Bond. On the same day, Myers filed a motion for a rehearing on bond for those second set of charges.

Under Arizona State law, if a defendant picks up more felony charges for crimes committed while out on bond, that person is ineligible for bond. The state charged Myers with three new felonies committed after being released on bond from his first set of charges based on this law.

In a filing that has not been made publicly available as of yet, Myers asked for a rehearing on bond and apparently proposed home confinement instead. We do have the state’s reply to the motion.

The three-page filing asks for a denial of the motion as Myers did have a “no bond” hearing and was able to present a defense against being held without bond. The filing alleges that Myers stated no case that would otherwise provide him with relief from his circumstances, as state law states that he would be held without bail for picking up new felonies while out on bond.

While no ruling has been made to Myers’ status, Myers apparently proposed his own plea deal at mid-week. The YouTuber apparently is no longer publicly working with Josh Grey of the “This is a Public Service” YouTube channel and is now working with the YouTuber known as the Reluctant Profit.

The Reluctant Profit aired an interview with Myers at mid-week that essentially gave prosecutors until 5PM local time on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, to accept one of three plea deals.

The first was to drop all charges against him with prejudice and release him immediately. In exchange, he’d take down all the videos about the victim and no new videos would be put up about the victim. He would still have the ability to sue Tucson police in civil court.

His second offer was for him to plead guilty for one count of interfering with judicial proceedings and get time served. He’d then not make new videos but Tucson or the victim would have to sue his company to have the original videos taken down.

Myers’ final offer was to keep the current charges in place and Myers would never take down any videos. Every day that he is incarcerated there will be new videos on multiple YouTube channels. He will also appeal to the Supreme Court and eventually win millions in civil damages against Pima County.

No offers were accepted by the time limit on Wednesday.

Myers also has two motions pending to reduce the number of charges against him. The first of the two was filed on April 7, 2025, and asks to eliminate the stalking charge in the second set of charges against him as there’s already a stalking charge in the first set of charges.

The argument is that Myers was engaging in the same behavior regarding the victim in both sets of charges. Since it’s the same behavior, they contend, there shouldn’t be two sets of charges.

In the second motion, Myers’ attorney, William J. Parven, is looking to have one of the two aggravated harassment and one of the two electronic harassment charges from the second set of charges dismissed.

Much like the first, it essentially argues that two motions for each are overkill as they’re regarding the same actions. No response has been filed as of yet to either motion.

Myers’ lack of presence on social media or YouTube through the absence of Josh Gray has severely impacted his fundraising efforts. Myers’ GiveSendGo campaign hasn’t received a donation in six days.

The jailed YouTuber was not alone as the market was blank for Wednesday with no new donations observed for any of the campaigns we follow.

Update: Josh Gray has emerged from his nearly week long exile with the following statement on his YouTube Community Page.

Rachel, you didn’t really think this through, did you? I guess we get all these “alleged” victims on the stand, under oath, to defend their lies?

Shannon Walker is going to get on the stand under oath?

Matt Walker is going to get on the stand under oath?

Is the detective going to get on the stand, under oath and say that Mr. Myers DIDN’T tell people, DO NOT REACH OUT to alleged victim?

I think it’s our duty as Americans to let these corrupt State Actors know what we think of their “service”.

JOURNALISM IN CRISIS

Both ReallyCoolSite.org’s daily newspaper and our daily newscasts are funded by your continuing donations and what we make from our YouTube AdSense revenue each month.

If you’d like to contribute to help us keep the lights on, eating, keeping the cats fed and writing new stories to feature on both the newspaper and newscast each day, we do have a GoFundMe set up at: https://gofund.me/76d87459

As real American and true protector of the first amendment Lane Myers has made multiple threats to sue us in recent days, portions of all donations may also go towards fighting any possible future lawsuits.

If you can’t afford to contribute, please watch our entire videos, like, share, subscribe and comment. You CAN help by doing next to nothing and we thank you in advance for pitching in!
