Standing outside the Florida Sheriffs Association Conference in Orlando Florida on Tuesday, SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Ryes thanked his fans as he celebrated the remarkable achievement of hitting 1,000,000 subscribers on the YouTube platform.
Reyes is not the first person in the First Amendment auditing sphere to reach this mark, Dale “Lackluster” Hiller had accomplished the feat some time ago, but Reyes may be the most famous and most powerful auditor on the planet in this day and age.
Know for his controversial style, he has both bullied police forces, small town mayors, and other targets who don’t share his world view with campaigns of change, lawsuits and protests, he has also stood for his solemn belief in “we the people.”
Critics have pounced on this idea, that Reyes is fighting for the rights of all of the citizens in the United States, by pointing out that most of his often-pre-planned campaigns are anything but inclusive.
They stress the fact that Reyes often acts in his own self-interest and claim that he is after fame and fortune and increasing his already enormous wealth, leaving normal citizens behind.
In a current dispute in Groton, Connecticut, for example, Reyes and his associates have made themselves frequent speakers at the monthly city council meetings. Reyes has alleged that mayor of Groton is having an affair with a member of her staff and was involved in the “cover up” involving a former Connecticut state trooper who Reyes is suing.
The mayor’s real offense? She allegedly changed the rules of public speaking at the city council meetings without following official protocols. Reyes has threatened her with yet to be filed lawsuit and has promised that he would cost the taxpayers of Groton an enormous sum of money should he not get his way.
He and his regular crew of YouTubers have appeared at the city council meetings on multiple occasions in protest of the decision, though Reyes nor his supports live in the area, and the general public seems either negative or ambulant to his efforts, with a few being outright hostile.
Besides his growing number of lawsuits, Reyes also has an incredibly popular merchandise line, a growing following on Cameo, and his expansive YouTube empire, which by itself brings in an estimated $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 in revenue per month.
While other auditors claim to be the most influential in the first amendment auditing sphere, Reyes has shown time and time again that he has the power behind his boasts.
After the recent arrest of Leonard “Leroy Truth” Filipowski, for example, Reyes spearheaded a campaign to get Filipowski legal representation and he also promoted Filipowski’s GoFundMe, which has brought in nearly $10,000.00 in donations since his arrest.
Reyes’ own multiple GoFundMe campaigns also tend to dominate the daily fundraising charts.
On Wednesday, Filipowski’s Stand with Leroy Truth Against Injustice campaign took in $270.00 to win the day, while Reyes’ Support Freedom Stand Against Tyranny Together fund took in $20.00.
Thursday saw more of the same as Filipowski’s fund brought in $65.00 to win the day, while Reyes’ Help Me Fight These Unlawful Charges & Injustice campaign actually lost $90.00.
No other campaigns that we follow saw donations for either day.
In Tuesday’s video, Reyes turned his attention away from his celebration to announce that he was currently crashing the celebration and that he believed he should have been invited as an honored guest at the conference.
He further boasted that a recent visit to “Disney” saw him recognized by fans as he was wearing his “uniform,” black pants, black “We the People” branded t-shirt, and “We the People” branded baseball cap.
Reyes called out Florida sheriffs Grady Judd and Wayne Ivy, who he would later be informed were not actually scheduled to attend the conference, for not equipping their officers with body cameras.
The YouTuber further singled out Grady with allegations that Grady forced a 12-year-old to apologize to her abuser in public after making accusations against the man. According to Reyes, that man was later tried and convicted of the abuse and the woman is suing Grady.
With no possibility of a showdown with either Grady or Ivy, Reyes wandered the halls of the conference. At one point he went to the podium of an empty conference room and gave a speech to the empty hall about abolishing qualified immunity and requiring all police to always wear bodycams.
Reyes ended the livestream by again thanking his fans for their patronage and support over the four years he’s been active on YouTube.
