YouTuber Jeremiah Payne apparently suffered multiple setbacks and controversies over the past week involving an alleged stalker, a lost laptop, a tow truck driver and a family who was riding in a car with a Kamala Harris bumper sticker.
According to Payne, selective participants been reported to police, the FBI and the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation), and have lawsuits pending as police and his attorneys are “actively involved.”
The drama started last week when Payne confronted a YouTube user named “Whiskey Whiskers” from his YouTube community page. Payne wrote:
“PUBLIC NOTICE
To the YouTube user operating under the name “Whiskey Whiskers”:
I am making this message very clear and very direct.
You recently left comments admitting that you have been following me and recording me and my 8-year-old daughter. If that is true, that behavior can fall under harassment and stalking, which are both criminal offenses.
I have already contacted a detective with the Sheriff’s Department regarding this situation.
I am currently reviewing my body-camera footage — which I wear everywhere for my own safety — and I will be turning over anything relevant to law enforcement.
Your YouTube channel, like all accounts, is connected to device and account identifiers. It may take the detective some time, but they will determine who is behind the channel. Once your identity is confirmed, I will fully pursue any legal actions available to protect my child and myself.
Let me also be extremely clear:
I do not play games when it comes to my family.
I do not need attention, drama, or police involvement unless I initiate it myself.
Your attempt to claim otherwise doesn’t change the facts.
If you truly meant what you posted — admitting to following and recording us — then you have placed yourself in a serious situation of your own making.
This is the only warning or response you will receive from me publicly.
All further steps will be handled through law enforcement. the sheriff department
and I wrote this to IC3 Which is the FBI AND TBI
‘Detective, FBI & TBI
I am reporting ongoing harassment from a YouTube user operating under the name “Whiskey Whiskers.” This individual recently posted comments on my public YouTube channel stating that they have been following me and recording me and my 8-year-old daughter without consent.
These comments were made openly on my channel, and I can provide screenshots and links to the exact posts where the admissions were made.
For my personal safety, I wear a body camera everywhere I go. I am currently reviewing all of my footage from the dates and locations where this person claimed to be following me, and I will provide any relevant clips to you as soon as I identify them.
I am requesting that this matter be investigated as possible harassment and stalking, especially since a minor is involved.
I understand that a YouTube account can be traced to the associated device, phone, or IP information, and I am willing to fully cooperate with all steps necessary to identify the individual behind the channel.
My priority is the safety of my daughter and myself.
I am asking for your assistance in identifying this person and pursuing charges if the evidence supports it.
Please let me know any additional information, files, or documentation you need from me.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.’”
Payne’s statement raised red flags over his supposed use of a bodycam, which would be visible in all of his previous videos.
Unless it’s a recent addition to his recording arsenal, the device is not present on his body during the videos and there is also no evidence of Payne using footage from said device in any of his produced videos on his YouTube channel.
Things got more complicated as he made a second community post over the weekend:
“The stalker has contacted me again and said I antagonized state tow truck driver in Russellville, Kentucky, but what the stupid idiot don’t know is, I never went to his job until after he attacked me and then I went to his job, see these idiots don’t have their facts straight, and he said, I cussed out. Of family, because they had a Kamala Harris bumper sticker. I really would like to see that video said. I called his wife a unfit b**** who didn’t deserve to have kids. I wanna see that video cause now he has fell into slandering my name. and he was pacifically told not to comment on my channel again. Or legal actions would be taken. so they are being taken. law enforcement is aware they have the comments. and they may or may not already know who they are. I won’t say on here. but I am armed and ready for any threat that they may take towards my family or me. there will be n9 more posting from here out.
Stayed tune everyone. they are playing the FAFO game. hope they are aware there is not a reset button once law enforcement has completed their investigation I will post all the videos and info I have on this person.
also stayed tune because I believe this person had something to do with the Lyft driver who assaulted meand drove off with my backpack with a 900 dollar laptop in it and over 1,200 dollars of medication I had just got. also on my laptop is over 5k dollars of music software and all my music which I have placed a 1k dollar reward for the return of my backpack and laptop. lyft is doing nothing ro help me get it back. but as of today she will have warrants for assult and grand theft thanks to the clarksville cops who showed up 5 deep the night it happened. and who have been helping me in making sure she goes to jail for a long time. and I have spoken to attorney and I will be suing her and lyft because they know she has stole it and don’t care. they said they got ahold of her once and she has refuses to answer the phone since then. she admitted to them she had it. now I will put her in jail till she gives all my stuff back. it is password protected so it’s a paper weight to her . but it has all my music and as I told lyft that because they know she did it and they aren’t helping get it back they are liable I have already spoken to attorney and lawsuits are in the works. so yeah. I can’t say much more on it but law enforcement does know her name and her address in Nashville. her name was Tanisha.
here is a Pic of her plate number. video will be posted soon of law enforcement response to it. also I posted a Pic of the laptop
STAYED TUNE EVERYONE. THE GAME FAFO IS NOW UNSTOPPABLE AND GOING FULL SPEED AHEAD”
According to his public statement, Payne now no longer has access to his laptop and presumably his bodycam footage due to the described incident with a Lyft driver where his laptop was allegedly stolen.
He has also now embraced Clarksville Police, who he is supposedly suing multiple times over, as they came “five officers deep” to respond to that incident with the Lyft driver. His account makes no mention of an actual arrest of the driver but promises lawsuits and the future jailing of the driver.
Lyft’s written policy indicates that it is not responsible for items lost in vehicles driven by its drivers. While it says it will work to help riders recover their lost items, the same policy states that it will not replace items.
This is a developing news story.
