Controversial YouTuber Irish Demon livestreamed on Sunday from what he said was an Irish hospital after experiencing a serious crash on his motorcycle near his home Saturday night.
The Irish YouTuber streamed three times on Sunday, making various claims about his injuries that differed between the first and third livestreams.
In the first stream, he said that he had a full day on Saturday and attended an event several hours North of his home. He was on the way home and had just stopped for a coffee when he was pulled over by police due to confusion over his license plate.
Once he resolved the issue with police, he drove his motorcycle towards his home, making a routine right hand turn towards his home. That’s where he says he encountered a farm vehicle taking up most of the road and had to make the decision to go into what he thought was a ditch or hit the vehicle.
Choosing the ditch, he was surprised when the ditch turned out to be a wall that he struck at approximately 70mph. He was separated from his motorcycle, which travelled another 15 meters without him.
A local woman came over to tend to his wounds and a local off duty paramedic helped to stabilize him until the fire brigade and ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital.
Demon said that he was in intensive care for most of Saturday night and was administered large doses of Ketamine to help treat his injuries. Ketamine has hallucinogenic effects, which may be responsible for some of the statements Demon made during the livestream.
On the first livestream, while sitting up and at one point playing with his phone with both hands, Demon claimed that all of his ribs “on the back” were shattered, that he had a punctured lung on one side and a collapsed lung on the other.
He said he had a fractured shoulder and collar bone and that he couldn’t sit up or move. He later said that his left ankle was “in a bad way” and that he would be hospitalized for three to six weeks.
He said that his friend Lucy and his parents and “the lads” had visited him and that his accident was covered on a “news site.” He began to say that he had a “rough” last few months and that his “old friend” insomnia was back.
The first stream cut off as he was describing how horrible the catheter place in his penis made him feel. This stream was privated shortly after his third stream ended.
Demon’s second stream was also privated at the same time as the first stream and essentially consisted of thirty seconds of Demon complaining about the catheter.
Finally, Demon’s third stream recounted a version of the crash story from the first stream, which made the wall a clearer part of the story, and he added that his left ankle was “destroyed.” One lung was now “slightly perforated” while the other remained collapsed, he also was surprised at how little road rash he experienced in the crash.
The new version of his story added that he was given and passed a breathalyzer before being transported to the hospital.
While he did not ask for money, he took offense at commenters who accused him of begging for cash through super chat donations. He angerly said that he would turn the feature off as his channel was doing well, to the point where he did not need to “bother” with doing livestreams anymore.
He also exclaimed that his insurance would pay for all of his hospital care during the three to six weeks he would be confined to a hospital bed.
Demon’s detractors were quick to pounce on the YouTuber and question his story of the crash as he is known for his elaborate pranks and later “gotcha” reveals. During one prank, he pretended to be in America and claimed he would be visiting YouTuber Miss Mandy before revealing that he was in a hotel room in Ireland and her story of seeing him in a car that briefly appeared in her driveway was false.
Other pranks included a story where he claimed a YouTuber’s “cousin” beat him up, that he had come to an agreement with Jose “Chille” DeCastro to remove all of his anti-DeCastro videos in a “settlement” with DeCastro, and an extended troll where he set a friend up infiltrate DeCatro’s inner circle before revealing it to be a prank.
Demon’s accident comes days after DeCastro started legal action against Demon, as he filed for and was granted the ability to file a subpoena on Google/YouTube for the Irish Demon’s channel information.
DeCastro is represented by that Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, Esq., and is expected to file a copyright infringement lawsuit against Irish Demon in the future.
