Jose “Chille” DeCastro had a horrible day on Tuesday as his idea to “unionize” first amendment auditors apparently died, his huge return to live streaming was overshadowed by a massive event he was not party to, and, of course, he drew no money to his GoFundMe campaigns.
DeCastro had been hyping his idea for a “union” of auditors, who would pay him monthly dues and be under his command for the past few weeks. The idea would be to pool the due money, under his direct control, to send “reporters” out to cover various news stories.
In the past, similar concepts had seen DeCastro literally want to unite the auditing word under his command. He had been hoping to enforce unity, and all the auditors would unite under his leadership, and become affiliates to sell his products in the process.
On Tuesday, that idea apparently died and died hard as an unofficial organization of auditors came together in New Jersey, with 30 auditors – most of the same auditors he had previously targeted for his “union” – participating in an semi-organized protest to back Leonard “Leroy Truth” Filipowski, an “independent journalist” who was arrested last month at a city council meeting.
From big names like SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes and James Freeman, to little names like Angry Vet and Taco Terry, the auditors answered the call in a semi-organized way *without the participation of DeCastro* and pretty much doomed any idea of coming together under DeCastro’s “union.”
Coverage from the 30+ auditors dominated the afternoon as DeCastro’s planned Tuesday afternoon return to livestreaming, after nearly a week off following a controversial change of attitude that saw DeCastro advocate for working with police instead of confronting them, was delayed because he was “at the dentist” and then because he was “working out” to avoid a huge loss in viewership.
DeCastro’s return saw 370 live viewers at peak out of his 602,000 subscribers for a mediocre livestream where DeCastro seemed agitated that the friends and family he visited during his “time off” did not appreciate his anti-police views.
Otherwise, his huge afternoon return, scheduled against some extreme competition, had little to no impact on his audience as it was a standard “cops are bad, bad are cops” event seeing pitches for his “indestructible” trifold and 5A Cop Card products.
Making matters worse for DeCastro was the fact that his GoFundMe campaigns again floundered, with his four personal campaigns and his campaign for Press with Rancor again pulling in goose eggs.
It has been six days since Rancor’s “Support Press with Rancor’s legal fund” campaign received a donation, holding out o $4,194.00 out of a $45,000.00 goal.
DeCastro’s “Justice or All: Legal Battle for Accountability” fund has been stuck at $4,558.00 out of a $100,000.00 goal for two weeks now.
The “Lawyer Fund Only – All Dollars go to Lawyers” fund run by DeCastro has held steady at $20,932.00 out of a $25,000.00 goal for nine days now.
His “Legal Aid Fund, Donation Fund, Help People Fund” has hit a wall at $27.015.00 raided out of a $35,000.00 goal, with its last donation coming 20 days ago.
Finally, DeCastro’s “Legal Defense Fund Crime Scene Tape Illegal Arrest” fund has sat at $2,465.00 out of a $30,000.00 goal for the past five days.
Our own ongoing expenses fund took the day with a $35.00 haul for the day.
On that note, if you’d like to join our personal union of hate watchers who force us to write this column every morning for the past god knows when, we do have a GoFundMe of our own (https://gofund.me/b8144e31). All proceeds go to keeping the lights on, eating, and writing new stories to feature here and on reallycoolsite.org.
