Dollarhide Ordered to Show Cause (Again)

In the never-ending case of Jason Dollarhide vs. Various Oklahoma defendants, Judge Patrick R. Wyrick ordered on Thursday Dollarhide to show cause as to why the case should not be dismissed without prejudice in its entirety by September 5, 2024.

This is a weird case as it had been without activity since last summer until being revived this spring with an order that granted Leave to File an amended Complaint. A deadline was set for April 30, 2024 for the amended complaint, which was never filed.

In May, the court ordered Dollarhide to show cause as to why the vast majority of the defendants shouldn’t be removed from the case. Dollarhide’s attorney responded that he wouldn’t object to all of the defendants, except Dennis Dickens and the Oklahoma Department of Safety be removed from the case. He then said he’d file an amended complaint against the remaining defendants but never did.

Dollarhide is seeking $250,000,000.00 from the defendants from an incident with police in 2022 at an Oklahoma park.

In more Dollarhide news, VineLink has confirmed that Jason Dollarhide is currently serving two 15-year terms for Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon. He is listed as being a current occupant of the Cleveland County Jail Backlog facility.

Dollarhide, whose cause had been previously championed by Jose “Chille” DeCastro (but hasn’t been mentioned since DeCastro got out of jail), still faces the following charges:
