Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova live streamed from the Jefferson County Jail in Golden, Colorado, on Saturday in a failed attempt to do a records request for footage of his time in the jail.
Cordova had previously served 16 days and 8 hours in the jail as a substitute for federal prison time as he was sentenced for crimes at a Denver area Social Security office in 2022. While originally sentenced to 15 days, he mysteriously served extra time as a supposed snafu by jail officials.
As part of his sentencing, Cordova will be on probation for two years. After previously stating that he’d simply self-revoke his probation, the YouTuber explained that he was feeling better about probation as he claimed his probation case manager accepted his first amendment auditing as a “real job” and would not be requiring him to seek outside work.
Cordova reserved the right to “self-revoke” his probation at any time, however, if he felt that probation was being unfair or hindered his continuing presence in the auditing community.
Saturday’s unsuccessful visit to the jail was to seek out security footage containing Cordova during his time at the jail. Cordova had previously announced that he was putting together a documentary on his experience and would be seeking all the footage of himself along with all the employment records on the workers he encountered during his stay.
The YouTuber was denied his records request on Saturday as the records office is only open Monday through Friday. Cordova vowed that he would return on Monday, the federal Veteran’s Day holiday, to make his requests. He then filled out his video by walking around the outside of the jail, giving a tour of what he could see from the outside of the building.
Cordova may have failed at the records request, but his efforts weren’t in vain, however, as the attention brought by the live stream saw a new donation to his GoFundMe campaign of $50.00 on Saturday.
This tied him for the overall win with our own Ongoing Expenses account, which also brought in $50.00 for the day. Long Island Audit’s Support Freedom Stand Against Tyranny Together campaign came in third with a $10.00 take for Saturday.
