Jose “Chille” DeCastro followed up on last week’s legal actions against Google for information on the owner of John “Irish Demon” O’Dea’s YouTube channel by filing a seven-count lawsuit against the YouTuber Tuesday morning accusing O’Dea of copyright infringement and the hacking DeCastro’s YouTube channel in November of 2024.
The filing comes a week after DeCastro filed legal action in search of the ownership information of O’Dea’s channel as a follow-up to a 2022 DCMA copyright claim DeCastro made against O’Dea for allegedly violating the so-called “fair use” doctrine.
At the time of the filing, DeCastro was heavily criticized for taking action on a YouTube video that was over two years old and had used a video that was not registered with the United States copyright office.
DeCastro, through attorney that Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, Esq., addressed critics who continued to criticize their efforts up until Tuesday morning. With criticism that the damage had already been done and that there would be little to no repercussions from removing O’Dea’s video or even O’Dea’s YouTube channel due to copyright infringement.
None of the critics expected that it was part of a larger plan to hold O’Dea responsible for both copyright infringement and the actual hacking of DeCastro’s YouTube channel, which saw DeCastro’s main YouTube channel briefly suspended from YouTube last November.
Our own reporting is extensively quoted within the lawsuit and alleges that O’Dea, working in conjunction with a former associate of DeCastro, used an old StreamYard login to access DeCastro’s main channel and show on male-on-male pornography over the course of several livestreams in late November of 2024.
According to both our reporting and the Lawsuit, YouTuber Shizz, a former associate of O’Dea, confirmed that O’Dea confessed to her and other members on her Discord server in November of 2024.
YouTube would also later verify that the IP address used in the hacking was traced back to an IP address originating from Ireland.
DeCastro’s suit alleges that when his main channel was removed from YouTube that he suffered significant financial damage and that he had to lay off a number of full-time employees based on loss of revenue.
The suit also alleges that O’Dea used DeCastro’s videos in violation of the fair use doctrine and that O’Dea had lied when filling out his DMCA counterclaims in 2022.
DeCastro is seeking compensatory damages believed to exceed $75,000.00, punitive damages, statutory damages and an injunction preventing O’Dea from accessing DeCastro’s social media, email or content distribution accounts and from publishing, distributing or referencing DeCastro’s likeness, name or content in a false or misleading manner.

Yes, i am sure. Key word “alleges” and there is never going to be any proof of any of this. He would have to show each of these claims to be true, not just a series of lies to get Irish in trouble, The layoffs were due to his being in jail, not because his fav videos were posted online.

Ireland is not the USA.
Irish is not going to accept suit and will demand they bring their case to Ireland. And when they try to win in Caki and he ignores it they will try to get him how? Remember Ireland has different laws and even with an American judgement they have no guarantee that an Irish court will agree.
chill is going to have to show real damages. Not his usual BS, His lawyer, will have to do it for him and frankly where is he going to show chilli making that much.
