Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s act of apparent kindness was treated with disrespect on Tuesday as Iowa based first amendment auditor Beau “Flex Your Freedoms” Bish failed to properly thank the diminutive YouTuber after DeCastro led an effort to post bail on Bish’s behalf Monday night.
Bish had been at the Waterloo, Iowa, City Council meeting Monday night in order to speak following the recent election defeats of both Waterloo Mayor Quentin Hart and Councilmember John Chiles, who Bish has been critical of in the past.
The First Amendment auditor’s negativity towards Chiles come as Chiles had previously served on a jury that found Bish guilty of an offense that resulted in Jail time. The Councilmember had been targeted by Bish at least one previous city council meeting with negative and abusive comments.
Monday night served as a going away party of sorts for the mayor and the Councilmember as constituents lined up to thank both for their time in office. Bish, through his actions, was the last speaker to come to address both men during the public feedback portion of the event.
Initially Bish got those assembled to give a rousing round of applause for both men before going into a verbal attack on Chiles, who returned insults directed at Bish. Bish called Chiles, who is African American, a “boy” and told him to be quiet when “men” were speaking.
Bish was eventually escorted out of the meeting after insulting a fellow veteran who was attempting to de-escalate the situation. He was escorted off the property, then was arrested for two counts of disorderly conduct when he refused to disperse.
Minutes after the arrest, DeCastro was live on his own channel to hold a fundraiser for Bish’s release from jail. He was on the phone with an associate of Bish’s, who confirmed that Bish was facing a $1,300.00 bond.
DeCastro immediately opened a GoFundMe account in Bish’s name, complaining that he would not be able to take CashApp, Venmo or PayPal donations directly as he would “have to pay taxes” on any donation made directly to him.
In a rare move by DeCastro, he remembered to promote the GoFundMe’s URL in his side chat as he quickly raised the money to free Bish. There was some confusion as DeCastro made multiple statements that he had the money to free Bish and would send that money directly to the person attempting to free Bish, while reimbursing himself from Bish’s GoFundMe collection.
Due to the nature of our reporting, Bish’s GoFundMe was not included in Monday’s tally as it was created on Monday. Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Huneault won Monday’s GoFundMe title with a $52.00 take to his Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit.
Tuesday’s results saw DeCastro’s Help Free Beau: Support a Veteran Advocate win the day with a $1,625.00 take then win Wednesday with a $200.00 take. No other campaigns that we follow received donations on those days.
It is unclear how much of the $1,825.00 raised by DeCastro went to reimbursing DeCastro for bonding out Bish and how much the veteran received from DeCastro.
Bish was released early Tuesday morning and release the following statement to his YouTube community page: “I am out of jail. I was arrested for literally speaking against John Chiles the city councilman who lost his re election in part to my efforts, at the Waterloo City Council. Once threatened with arrest i proceeded to leave and was then trespassed out of the City Hall for peacefully exercising my 1A in an open meeting during public comment. These corrupt tyrants of Waterloo, Iowa police walked me off of property and onto a public sidewalk all the while continuing to threaten me. I was once again threatened with arrest for standing on a sidewalk where no one else even was. He claimed I’m obstructing the sidewalk, even though I’m literally on the far most part of the sidewalk and had obstructed nothing. Waterloo Iowa is against our Freedoms and against anyone who opposes their views! Hey Waterloo, congrats. You will NOT win this war. How dare you fools treat the American people like this! We will prevail! Most of my property was stolen and I will be doing a Livestream tmrw at the Corrupt Waterloo Iowa Pigpen and getting what’s mine. Have fun losing and I will see you cucks in court(s).”
Bish would later livestream on Tuesday as he went to retrieve items confiscated by police in his arrest. During that stream, Bish notably played down DeCastro’s involvement in his release and took turns praising the attention he would receive from such large YouTubers as Dale “Lackluster” Hiller and James “James Freeman” Springer.
An associate of Bish briefly mentioned DeCastro’s involvement and thanked the YouTuber while Bish was off-camera. It is unclear if Bish’s snub of the California based YouTuber was intentional.
Bish reportedly has a December 30, 2025, court date the charges he picked up Monday night.
