YouTuber, philanthropist, candidate for Mayor/Governor of an undisclosed “government”, civil rights activist, inventor of the “Jock Sock” and self-taught Constitutional Law Scholar Jose “Chille” DeCastro had a mixed week at best, with a “meh” level of success in his on-going legal influence.
Starting off with his on-going lawsuit against YouTuber John “Irish Demon” O’Dea. DeCastro’s lawyer, that Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, Esq., filed for an Entry of Default against O’Dea.
O’Dea missed the initial deadline to respond to service in the lawsuit and an extension of the deadline by Newman, resulting in Newman’s filing on Tuesday. While the granting of the Entry of Default is seen as inevitable, the Court Clerk has yet to issue the entry as of press time.
Once the Entry of Default is granted, all of the factual allegations against the O’Dea are considered to be “true.” O’Dea would also lose the ability to fight the complaint in their own defense.
From there, attorney Newman would need to file for a default judgment, and damages would be assessed at a later hearing. DeCastro would be required to provide evidence to prove the damage, however, again, O’Dea would have no ability to counter DeCastro’s claims.
DeCastro’s apparent protégée, Heather Dawn Chandler, made a new filing in her fight against charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid driver’s license.
Chandler recently fired her attorney and mysteriously started to file professional style briefs without legal representation. This is a service that DeCastro provides and his been advertising on his recent livestreams with the caveat that while he cannot legally represent anyone, he can show them how to represent themselves using AI to file motions.
The most recent filing by Chandler looks to throw out probable cause for the May 6, 2025, arrest as the arresting officer was told by dispatch that Chandler’s license had been suspended, when it had been valid at the time of the arrest.
Chandler also claims that dash cam footage from the arrest was not properly preserved and provided to her. Because of both factors, she says the reliability of the affidavit provided by the arresting officer should also be thrown out.
While this filing does not address the actual arrest for DUI, Chandler’s previous filing looked to throw out the DUI charges since she asserted that police ignored her demands for blood or breath screening after initially refusing to take part in those tests while at the scene of the arrest.
If successful, the DUI and driving without a valid license charges, which have yet to go to trial, may be thrown out.
DeCastro himself was not as successful in dealing with police at mid-week as he was denied by police dispatcher, who told the YouTuber that she had no interest in his YouTube channel when he made repeated attempts to prank call the Leon County Sheriff’s department and the Pritchard Police department.
The YouTuber was using his “J.D.” character to prank call the Leon County Sheriff’s department after DeCastro viewed a YouTube video of a Leon County Sheriff’s deputy pulling a gun on man who he thought was armed but was actually holding a gas nozzle.
DeCastro made multiple efforts to get information from dispatchers and was told that they could not comment as the incident was undergoing an independent review. He then switched to calling the Pritchard, Florida police department directly and was placed on hold multiple times.
Persisting, he called back multiple times and was ultimately told that the dispatcher addressed him by his first name and told him that she had no interest in taking part in his YouTube channel.
The dispatcher then asked if he had an emergency to report and when DeCastro persisted in demanding to know about the case, she hung up on the YouTuber.
Finally, DeCastro is making a new push to raise funds for his on-going endeavors. He is now insisting on his fans providing him with between 50 to 100 new memberships per livestream.
It is unclear why DeCastro is demanding so many purchases of his memberships from his viewers, but, with starting memberships on his channel going for $2.99 a membership, that would bring in another $149.50 (before YouTube tax) per show per gifted membership.
DeCastro is expected to livestream later today.
