Fans of Jose “Chille” DeCastro were left disappointed again on Thursday as the YouTuber brought no new updates to his often-delayed Constitution HQ board game other than the posters were done and he’d have the “prototype cards” on Friday with a game release left in a vague statement of “forgive me, it’s going to take some… time.”
DeCastro delivered two more days of stripped down OBS powered livestreams in vertical format on Wednesday and Thursday. As the YouTuber predicted, he’s had growth of up to 300% in viewership since switching to the format which YouTube artificially promotes to viewers in its algorithm.
Unfortunately for DeCastro, 300% put him in a range of 300-500 people viewing at any time on his main channel. The vertical format has been proving to be erratic at best since his live viewership numbers spike up to the 530 range for moments at a time during livestreams but never surpassing 600 live viewers.
His fans have criticized the change as DeCastro’s physical characteristics have been highlighted by his new camera angles. His now-prominent double chin showing off his advancing age and has made some question if he is no longer holding himself to the high standards he demands of others.
Presently, presales of DeCastro’s Constitution HQ board game have been sitting at seven copies sold on his DeleteLawz.com website. The site has a counter that started at 9999 and moves backwards with each sale. It has s been stuck at 9992 for most of the week.
Seven units sold may not be an official figure, as DeCastro has bragged from his Twitter/X account in recent weeks that he has “1,000 presales” of the game when confronting a former associate. If true, DeCastro would be flush with presale money, with nearly $69,000.00 at his disposal.
Unfortunately for the YouTuber, it doesn’t seem that the boast is true. He warned his audience that if he had incurred a $900.00 traffic penalty like the person featured in the video he was watching, his finances would be destroyed, and he’d face financial ruin.
DeCastro’s apparent desperation was at play on both Wednesday and Thursday as he resorted to his old tactic of pitching his trifold product for quick sales. Thursday was especially bad as he was offering a “buy a trifold, someone else gets one for free” promotion and promised to give out multiple trifolds without the corresponding sale to fund the giveaways.
The YouTuber also admitted that he often throws in multiple copies of his products with every order. While it indicated that he had stockpiles of unsold and apparently unwanted product on hand, it also showed that he simply does not seem concerned about devaluing his products to the point where he makes little to nothing off of every sale.
We must note that there are some that have accused DeCastro of faking his destitute status as a way to get around the nearly $10,000.00 in sanctions he owes to Michael “Blue Bacon” Pierattini in his on-going lawsuit against Pierattini, Kate Peter, Team Skeptic and Daniel Clement.
Terminating sanctions or sanctions of another $5,000.00 are on the table to be discussed at a scheduled late May hearing. DeCastro himself has attempted to dismiss or “reset” the case in recent weeks, vowing to refile it in another venue at a later time to “tell his story” to a more forgiving court.
With his claims of near indigent status and focus of sales of his products other than his board game as his focus, DeCastro has also forgotten to mention friend Craig Hendry. Hendry’s DeCastro created GoFundMe has sat at $265.00 in total donations for over a week without mention by DeCastro.
While mentioning that he’ll “put money on Craig’s books” at the Vermillion County Jail, DeCastro does not promote the jailed YouTuber’s GoFundMe account on his broadcasts. Hendry is seeking $15,000.00 to pay for bond related to charges from Sullivan County, Indiana.
As it stands, once Hendry’s sentence in the Vermillion County jail finishes, he will be transferred to Sullivan County, where he will be held unless the cash bond is paid or until the conclusion of his trial. He then faces two sets of charges in Greene County, Indiana, where bail or trial dates have yet to be set.
DeCastro’s lack of effort to fund his friend’s GoFundMe or his own multiple GoFundMe campaigns does not mean that the market lacks interest. Market newcomer Clash with Bao took in $1,008.00 on Wednesday, while our own Ongoing Expenses campaign saw a donation of $70.00.
The newcomer again took the crowd sourcing crown for Thursday as he brought in $720.00 in new donations, with our Ongoing Expenses campaign trailing by a wide length with a $50.00 donation.
Bao’s meteoric rise to become the story to watch as he’s shattered Lane Myers’ record setting take from earlier in the year and may be on the verge of shattering DeCastro’s own 2024 crowd sourcing records.
DeCastro is expected to go live again later today.
