An incarcerated Craig Hendry spent the last few days of 2025 watching a once promising lawsuit fall apart while he fought to extend another after missing a deadline all while being incarcerated in Greene County, Indiana.

Hendry is currently spending 160 days in the Greene County jail after being convicted of misdemeanor making a false report about police. He claims he is innocent of the charges as he honestly believes that he did not lie in the incident or the court.

The YouTuber’s most recent audio statement from the Greene County jail indicated that he felt like he was being punished solely for his beliefs and that it was unfair to punish him when his beliefs come into conflict with the laws of the State of Indiana or the United States.

Recounting his sentencing hearing in December, Hendry claimed that the state tried to use his own videos that were released to his YouTube channel post-conviction against him. He bemoaned the admittance of his videos to the record since he was being punished for expressing his version of the truth.

Hendry admitted that he felt that all Judges were government paid states attorneys and further admitted that told the judge that he felt she and the prosecutors in his case were bullies that he needed to stand up to.

He further disagreed with her questioning of his parenting style as he only wanted his son to be free of oppression, to stand up for what is right and to fight bullies. Hendry added that he told the judge that her position – where she got paid to fine people if they didn’t abide by her wishes – was the equivalent of an armed robber.

Away from the ears of the court, he further pledged that there was no need for government as he felt that “private persons” can come together and administer “justice” more efficiently than our current system.

In our current system, Hendry’s lawsuit against Lake County, Indiana, was recently dismissed after Hendry was removed as a defendant from the lawsuit due to lack of participation in the case.

Hendry brought the case in 2024 following a 2022 arrest in Lake County. Due to his convictions of felony and misdemeanor charges in Vermillion County, Indiana, in 2024, Hendry was incarcerated or out of touch for most of 2025. Hendry missed multiple attempts to find him, did not update the court with his whereabouts, and was ultimately dismissed from the case in November.

While Hendry’s longtime friend Tyler Pierce was a co-plaintiff in this case, he simply did not have the interest or means to continue without Hendry. Pierce filed a joint stipulation with the defense to drop the case with prejudice on December 8, which was granted on December 9, 2025.

Hendry is attempting to avoid a similar circumstance with his lawsuit against guards at the Vermillion County jail. Much like the Lake County case, Hendry had been out of touch for most of the year in this case, where he is suing multiple guards for their alleged violation of his due process rights.

The jailed YouTuber was given until December 15, 2025, to answer a show cause order by the Court or else have his complaint dismissed. Hendry filed a motion to change his address on December 19, followed by a motion to extend his time to reply to the court on December 30.

In his filing, Hendry explained that he was taken into custody on December 2 and had not seen the mail from the court about the December 15 deadline until December 20. He did not explain why he had missed the previous deadlines in the case despite being free from incarceration before December 2, which made the December 15 deadline necessary.

Hendry is seeking time to reply to the show cause motion and to keep his lawsuit alive.

This is a developing news story.
