After a week of non-judicial blow ups in the on-going dispute between Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova and Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Hudon-Huneault the war turned back to the lawsuit between the men early in the week with new filings and a new ruling in the lawsuit.

Cordova is currently suing Hudon-Huneault over the supposed misuse of his YouTube videos and violating 17 U.S. Code § 1201 to circumvent YouTube’s copy protection to download Cordova’s materials for usage in his own videos.

Hudon-Huneault claims that in a recently discovered live stream from years ago, Cordova gave him rights to perpetually use his material and swore he’d never sue him over usage of the material.

Last week, in an apparent act of spontaneous discovery, consumer advocate Louis Rossmann discovered the lawsuit. A day after, Rossmann launched a campaign against Cordova’s attorney, Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, complete with a fully detailed bar complaint for his fans to download and file against attorney Newman.

Newman himself didn’t do himself any favors, with a highly criticized appearance on Christopher “Direct D” Ruff’s livestream. He later removed his “The DMCA Attorney” moniker from his YouTube channel.

Financial contributions to Hudon-Huneault’s GoFundMe campaign related to the lawsuit surged following direct links to the campaign provided by Rossman.

Hudon-Huneault’s financial dominance continued Wednesday, with $218.00 in new donations to his Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit.

Sean Paul “Long Island Audit” Reyes placed second with $100.00 in new donations to his Support The Fight Against Tyranny & Corruption campaign.

Reyes’s Detained for MY Rights – Continuing the Fight for OUR Rights campaign tied for third place with the First Amendment Protection Agency’s ILLEGAL ARREST DEFENSE FUND!!! As both took in $50.00 in new donations.

No other campaigns that we follow received donations for Wednesday.

Turning back to the legal filings, the week started with an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) joint statement provided by attorney Newman and “Sinsational” Simon Lin, representing Hudon-Huneault.

In the ADR statement, the pair indicated that they could not come to an agreement on mediation. Newman stated that he would prefer to participate in the Court’s existing ADR Program, with mediation through the NDCA mediator panel.

Lin refused this process, indicating that Hudon-Huneault would be “willing to participate in private ADR with a privately retained mediator with experience in U.S. and Canadian law, and internet issues that spans across national borders.”

The attorney then ignored Cordova’s recent statements that he was living in poverty and that attorney Newman was working on contingency. He stated, “Plaintiff indicated that he lacks the resources to participate in private mediation. However, from the Defendants’ perspective, Plaintiff appears to have nearly unlimited resources with numerous motions. A private mediator would ensure that both sides are fully engaged in the process. A mediator with experience on the internet and cross-border issues will also ensure that both sides have a reality check.”

Magistrate Judge Virginia K. DeMarchi, who is overseeing the lawsuit, ruled on Tuesday that Magistrate Judge Susan van Keulen would be handling a settlement conference on June 30, 2026.

Attorney Lin also filed an objection to a recent reply by Newman in support of his Motion to Dismiss Hudon-Huneault’s counterclaim.

In the filing, Lin claimed that Newman violated local rules by stating that YouTube provides no feature to allow users to download, copy, edit and re-upload another creator’s videos as new works.

Lin contended that if he would, if given a chance to respond, refute this claim since YouTube’s premium service “would have squarely rebutted the plaintiff’s bald assertation.”

Finally, in a late evening file, attorney Newman filed a motion to withdraw his motion for leave to amend the case management schedule and his motion for leave to file a second amended complaint.

Newman stated, “At the time the motions were filed, the video Frauditors Ejected from Federal Courthouse (NEW), which Plaintiff alleges infringes his work titled FEDERAL COURTHOUSE FAIL!!! Threatened with arrest for recording and not one officer identifies!, remained publicly available on Defendants’ Frauditor Troll YouTube channel. Defendants have since removed the video after the filing of the above-referenced motions. As a result, Plaintiff has determined that amendment of the pleadings is unnecessary at this time.

Accordingly, Plaintiff respectfully withdraws the above-referenced motions without prejudice and requests that the Clerk terminate ECF Nos. 66 and 78.”

This is an on-going news story.

Cordova v. Huneault – 85 – ADR Report Cordova v. Huneault – 86 – Defendants' Objection to Reply Evidence Cordova v. Huneault – 87 – Order Referring Case to Magistrate Judge Van Keulen for Settlement Conference Cordova v. Huneault – 88 – Withdrawal of Motions
