The Angry Vet Confronts Walmart Shoplifters?

In his continuing attempt to repair his image, Kevin “The Angry Vet” Soper released a video on Tuesday displaying what he claimed to be his encounter with shoplifters at a Walmart in Maryland.

Soper pushes his shopping cart to his car and turns to watch a heavyset man clad in a track suit unpack things from baby stroller. Standing in the parking spot behind the track suit man, text appeared on screen stating that Soper was “pretending to text” while the man continued to unpack his baby stroller.

A jump cut later and Soper watches the man return to the car with the stroller along with a black woman pushing a shopping cart. Soper says he is waiting for the man to put the merchandise in the baby stroller in the car like he’s done a couple of times now.

The woman asks Soper what he’s talking about. Soper tells the pair to throw the merchandise they’ve stollen in the shopping cart he’s standing next to. He said the police have been called and the track suited man threw some merchandise at Soper that landed in the approximate area of the cart.

Meanwhile the woman approached Soper and began to confront him. She said she had her baby in the car and why it was any of Soper’s business what she was doing. The pair had a brief exchange where she threatened to attack Soper and Soper promised to defend himself.

Ultimately, the situation resolved with the man and woman getting into their car as a third woman drove, backing out of the parking spot. The car either hit Soper or Soper hit the car with his hand as they were pulling out and the man opened his car door and threw something back at Soper as the car drove off.

Another jump cut and Soper was strutting around the parking lot as another shopper asked if there were shoplifters. There was no further resolution, police involvement, or the involvement of any of the employees of the shopping center or Walmart in the video.

Soper has made a name for himself recently due to questionable recent activity he’s had with police. On two occasions, Soper has made claims that police either attacked him or were aggressively following him with no evidence offered or evidence offered behind a firewall (“I’ll release it when my lawyer gives me the okay.”).

While stopping crime is commendable, the lack of police presence or backup from store employees makes Soper’s actions questionable at best. He could have been involved in a very real and very dangerous situation of his own making.

If it’s Soper’s attempt to reintroduce himself to the community as a superman, he may think twice about repeating his actions before the “attempted redrum” he has advertised in the video has a more serious ending in future videos.
