Tim Bradl, Attorney for Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney (Turtleboy), released a statement to Turtleboy’s Facebook page updating the planned statement by Turtleboy that had previously been announced by the Admins of the page.

Bradl wrote, “For now we need to tell Aidan’s story solely in the courthouse for his own protection.  We need about ten days or so after which time we expect that he will be back online. He is extremely grateful for all of your support and good wishes as we continue this fight to vindicate the right to speak out against the government and petition for redress against tyranny.” – Attorney Tim Bradl

Turtleboy was arrested after turning himself in on Tuesday after allegedly shoving his former girlfriend on Friday and having an “Be on the Lookout” issued for his arrest over the weekend.

With a courtroom packed with about a dozen of his supporters, Turtleboy watched as Bradl played the recording Turtleboy had made of the incident and uploaded to YouTube. While Bradl claimed that the audio was unedited, the prosecution objected to playing the audio from YouTube and wanted to see the original footage. Turtleboy did not have the phone he used to record the incident on him when he was arrested.

The audio did not sway the judge, who revoked Turtleboy’s bond from the multiple felony charges he faces for witness intimidation, picketing and conspiracy stemming from his involvement in the “Free Karen Read” movement.

Since his arrest, his supporters have been gathering on Facebook and other social media sites to find updates from Turtleboy. On Wednesday, a post on the Facebook group promised that Turtleboy’s statement about the true nature of the incident would soon be released to the group once it had been edited to reflect the limits placed on Turtleboy due to his arrest.

To the disappointment of Turtleboy’s fans, Bradl’s statement appeared to cancel the planned release of the statement. It is unclear if further statements or commentary will be posted to the Facebook group by representatives of Turtleboy at this time.

Turtleboy’s next court appearance is in early January of 2024.
