Long Island Audit Banned from County Office Building

SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes most recent produced video on his YouTube channel featured his recent visit to the Westchester County Office Building in Westchester, NY, after seeing his picture on display on a security station inside the building during a video produced by fellow first amendment auditor, Auditing Eerie County.

Reyes’ video focused on his current visit to the building where he wanted to access the legal department in order to do a FOIA request. The security guard stationed at the front desk informed him that he needed to fill out his request and then it would be sent up to the legal department and Reyes would only be permitted access to the legal department if the department approved his access.

Reyes demanded the right to walk through the “public building” on his own, when he was corrected that it was a private building with public areas. Switching tactics, Reyes asked the security guard, who was later joined by a police officer stationed at the building, why his picture was on display at the security desk.

As the police officer confirmed Reyes’ identity and looked up why Reyes was banned from the building, Reyes asked if things had changed in the building as last time he visited the building, he had free access to all the public areas without question. The security guard informed Reyes that nothing had changed, and that Reyes would have had to have permission to visit specific floors of the building at the time of his previous visit.

Rejoining the group, the police officer informed Reyes that his previous visit was the reason for his photo being on display at the security desk. During that visit, Reyes was given access to a specific area of the building and instead filmed himself roaming the halls of the building, resulting in his complete ban from the building.

Reyes later showed footage of himself roaming the building during his previous visit, claiming that he did “nothing wrong” and there was no proof that he did anything to deserve the ban.

The YouTuber later investigated the parking lot of the building, claiming that there was no signage indicating that it was a private building. He was joined by the police officer from the security desk, who informed him he was in a private parking lot, and he needed to leave, also showing Reyes the signs that indicated it was a private parking lot.

Reyes didn’t try to argue with the police officer, but did threaten a lawsuit for his ban from the building. The video prompted a $10.00 donation to Reyes’ Support Freedom Stand Against Tyranny Together GoFundMe fund, bringing that campaign’s total to $4,365.00 out of a $10,000.00 goal, and taking the day in the GoFundMe race.

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!

Despite the GoFundMe Market being dead, this publication is funded by your donations along with what little we make off of our YouTube channel per month. If you can afford it, please consider donating to the GoFundMe run by this very channel (https://gofund.me/b8144e31). All proceeds literally go to keeping the lights on, eating, and writing new stories to feature here and on reallycoolsite.org.
