YouTube monetized first amendment advocate and sometime advocate for the homeless Regan Benson livestreamed on Tuesday indicating that the city of Littletown, Colorado may be her new target as she raged on a livestream from outside of the Littletown Municipal Courthouse.
Benson was upset for a number of reasons on the livestream, starting with what she described as a negative interaction with an Allied Security employee who ran the security checkpoint at the courthouse.
According to Benson, she was accosted by the female armed security guard running the checkpoint. She was ultimately required to open up all the zippers on her purse in order to show that she was not carrying a weapon.
An intervention by a building administrator was unable to stop bad feelings on Benson’s part, who disparaged the security guard and claimed that she would be further monitoring events at the courthouse.
Benson was there to observe as a woman from the Ukraine was experiencing homelessness was scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday. Unfortunately for the woman, she was scheduled for the hearing at the same time that she had a mental health evaluation as ordered by the court.
Apparently, the woman’s public defender, identified as Khalid Jabili by Benson, also did not appear when called to do so. Benson expounded on her thoughts about the worthiness of Jabili to perform his role as public defender in both Littleton and in Englewood, Colorado.
Bernson went on to call mental health evaluations a method that cities use to force people into being charged with missing court dates. She noted that she has had previous mental evaluations and said that she would be facing another one should she lose her appeal of her conviction for doxing a police officer.
The free-range grandmother would later release a statement updating the situation as a comment on the YouTube video:
So, here’s what happened at 1:00 pm from my recollection: the judge put on the record that she had set today’s hearing for the person I was there to view at 10:00am and of whom was likely at her “competency evaluation” instead, because the two were set up at the same time. Weird.
The judge said on the record she set the hearing today because the defendant (who is fully competent to understand court proceedings when being properly represented) had come into the courts asking to be put in front of the judge and the judge would not do so without her attorney present. Fair.
HOWEVER…
Was this done by design to set her up for a FTA, that would add to this claim of her lack of competency? I don’t know, but it sure doesn’t look good for this judge at this point.
But we’ll see.
I am of the very strong opinion based on facts of this case that are available to the public, that you Mr. Jabili (municipal public defender) are being a lazy A-hole as I have seen you be in the past and you don’t want to do your job.
This, combined with the idea that you and this judge might be colluding for the city of Littleton to maintain their ability to criminalize the homeless into… jail. Why? Because you know this lady is smart and is going to figure out how to appeal a loss in municipal court for “trespassing” in a park, simply trying to survive.
The case has been reset to September 15th, no warrant issued for the defendant not being there today and Mr. Jabili is to inform his client, according to the judge, of this next hearing.
I fully understand the game courts play. ESPECIALLY municipal courts.

Because of this, I will in fact be taking a deep dive into municipalities using competency as an attempt to be lazy and/or used as a railroading the homeless into dismissals which further protects cities for continuing to criminalize the homeless.
Who started this US v. Them battle over this deal?
Per usual, oath breaking cops with a badge, GUN and full immunity to end anyone’s life at anytime.
