YouTube bicycling enthusiast, first amendment auditor and social media influencer Lane Myers made news again on Friday as spokesperson Andrea “Illuminate the Dark” Dotson called for more call flooding on his behalf and Pima County resident Jason Jensen failed in his appeal of a media order to Arizona’s Court of Appeals Division Two.
Dotson started the day with a post to her YouTube community page (links redacted):
Here’s a list things we can do to keep the momentum going!
Calling into the Pima Board of Supervisors meeting and speaking for 3 minutes. (Keep it simple, unconstitutional conditions, violating Rules ect)
Contacting all the judges at Superior Court. I have a link to the website in the description of video below.
Contacting Laura Conover, laura.conover@pcao.pima.gov
Contacting the Tucson and Phoenix, and Fox national news. Keep it simple! Unconstitutional conditions, the court is violating Rules
Contacting Juan Ciscomani – Congress.
Contacting Arizona Attorney General office, NOT the civil rights division, the main office.
Donating to the Give Send Go.
All donations sent to me will go to the Tablet for phone calls.
Dotson has been Myers’ unofficial spokesperson since Myers has been jailed in the Pima County Adult Detention Center for allegedly violating conditions of his probation. Surprisingly, Dotson’s statement was not accompanied by an audio statement from Myers, who had previously taken every opportunity to address his fans.
In other news, Pima County Area resident Jason Jensen filed on Wednesday a petition for special action against the ruling of Judge D. Douglas Metcalf in the Myers case, denying Jensen the ability to record proceedings.
Metcalf had ruled against various arguments by Jensen last week, including that his disability granted him the need to have the proceedings recorded despite the fact that he was not a participant in the case.
Jenson commented on a recent livestream, explaining the appeal process:
Um, so I have some news. Um, as most people know, on the thirteenth Of this month, August, uh twenty twenty-six, uh Judge Metcalf denied my motion uh for a personal recording device uh based on the appearance of justice standard in the court. And Some of my reasoning in there was basically that um you know the cat’s out of the bag, all you have to do is search Wayne Myers, uh victim name And AI comes up with the answer, at least on Google AI mode. Uh DuckDuckGo doesn’t seem to do that, but it also doesn’t seem to be anywhere as interconnected is uh AI mode is. Uh in fact that’s why they created Google AI mode.
To empower AI in just the search context. So they have special access to the database and stuff and they feed context with that. Um and that that’s part of the process. I mean, you have uh different levels of the court, so i you have um The district court or the trial court, the lower court, however you want to look at it Um and this is modified if it’s a in the state court or city court. So uh In Arizona you have limited jurisdiction courts, those are the Justice of the Peace and the City Courts. Um
When you appeal those decisions, you go to the superior court, uh, which is the trial court level on uh like felonies and anything over ten thousand dollars, uh stuff like that. From there you go to uh a division of the Court of Appeals for Arizona and um After the Court of Appeals, you go to the Arizona Supreme Court And if you really want to push the issue from there, you go to the United States Supreme Court So based on the case activity, hey what’s up, plummet? Um Based on the court activity, um this is the case number. So uh it is 2CA-sa 2026-0068. Jason Adam Jensen versus the state of Arizona. And it has my name on it because I’m the petitioner. And the state of Air Arizona is ultimately the respondent.
Um Lane Myers is a real party in interest, along with three judges, um that would be Metcalf uh Griffin I think I’m pronouncing that right and then we have and I’m never gonna get this right until I hear it Ly Laisky? Lowski? Something. And that is the presiding judge over um the entire Pima County Superior Court uh district Um so if I go to my actual um Petition for special action and this is it. Um it’s 141 pages, but it also has exhibits uh which is in the appendix And here’s the judge that is presiding over Superior Court. Um, and that’s Danielle and help me out here, Louowski. I’m sorry if I’m getting that wrong. Um and this notice right here is based on Uh the fact that I couldn’t really find any examples of how to do a special action now that the rules have changed Um with the special action. So prior to twenty twenty five, um The judges would have been a respondent. Uh now this judge is the only respondent because it’s uh covering an administrative uh action um
On Friday, the court declined to accept jurisdiction over Jeson’s special action.
While Jenson has yet to comment on the ruling, according to Jenson’s livestream comments, he will then try to file the case with the Arizona State Supreme Court, with the intention of taking it to the United States Supreme Court.
This is a developing news story.
