Newly freed YouTuber Christopher “Direct D” Ruff livestreamed on Wednesday where he addressed his recent stay in the Apache County Jail, his life going forward and what his enemies should expect now that he is free again.

Ruff was freed Tuesday night after prosecutors filed to dismiss charges against him, a request that was almost immediately approved by the judge on the case. This came after Ruff had been held on $108,500.00 bond for most of the month with little hope of release.

The former cop watcher’s charges were based on statements by former girlfriend Heather Russell. According to Ruff himself, the accusations were not fully investigated before he was apprehended at the Apache County Courthouse and charged with a bevy of initial charges based on Russell’s statements.

The majority of those charges were not picked up by prosecutors, with Ruff facing one misdemeanor and one felony charge. Those prosecutors refused to lower Ruff’s bond, however, as he faced $100,000.00 in a bond from his Apache County charges plus another $8,500.00 from Maricopa County where he had picked up warrants for skipping court dates.

Meanwhile, Russell made rounds on Christopher Reiter and Generally Specific’s livestreams, sharing the positive news that her actions had put her former love in jail. Russell, however, would soon vanish from the livestream appearances as accusations of credit card fraud hung over her head.

Ruff detoxed while he was in jail, giving up cigarettes and marijuana while in the Apache County jail. His second livestream since obtaining his freedom, he showed off his leaner body and pledged to his fans that he was clear headed for the first time in a while and would not be spending money on things that would distract him from his goals.

The YouTuber said that he still had court to deal with the custody of his young sons and may end up back in jail as his former bride’s attorneys were attempting to charge him with contempt in an on-going custody lawsuit.

Ruff credited girlfriend Amanda for his release from jail. In statements on the livestream and in various comment areas on YouTube, Ruff established that Amanda’s relentless force was the only reason he is out of jail.

Even while located in Hawaii, she assembled Ruff’s friends and fans and took on Arizona’s criminal justice system, resulting in the improvement of Ruff’s quality of life while in jail, a reduction of punishments and his eventual freedom.

Addressing his previous reluctance to take money from his audience, he directly thanked his fans and asked for financial help with the coming battles in court. He still needs help with civil matters and has stated that he intends to bring Russell to justice for the false statements that led to his incarceration.

Looking forward, Ruff also said that he was eventually going to run for Sheriff of Apache County. He claimed that his cop watching days were over and said that he may disappoint some of his fans, but he would have to give up the mentality a convict and embrace the thinking of the system if he was going to be a part of that system.

Girlfriend Amanda was expected to arrive in Arizona later today, with the pair set to marry over the weekend. Ruff discussed, but did not promise, a livestreamed ceremony.

Ruff’s livestream did not result in new donations to his GiveSendGo for Thursday. Lane Myers won the crowd sourcing title for Thursday with $2,020.00 in new donations for the day. Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney placed second with $25.00 in new donations.

No other campaigns that we follow saw donations for the day.
